[Charania] The good news for the Knicks and Anunoby is I’m told he has avoided a significant or serious level strain of that hamstring. He’s going to be evaluated day to day moving forward.
He’s been incredible best he’s ever been, I hope he comes back immediately back on it, my Prince bein high key underrated as one of the strongest playoff performers this year.
He’s been a third star for the knicks. Awesome to watch him play.
I say this with full respect to KAT and Brunson. He’s been our best player over the last 8 games.
Don’t even think that’s controversial, he hasn’t had one off game these playoffs
Our most consistent star for sure
He has been our best player during the playoffs no question
Between him and KAT tbh, I love the pressure being taken off JB
Facts
OG limped back against the pacers 2 playoffs ago. Did he have hamstring problems at Toronto too? Sounds like a chronic condition to be managed for the rest of his career.
Haha thanks! Glad the advice helped. That 3-4 age range is such a fun transition phase for reading, they start catching all the little details you miss as an adult.
i genuinely dont want to see him play another game this series unless its game 7
I think it really depends on how the next games go
Yeah best case scenario we win the next two and he and everyone can rest before the ECF. Worst case scenario we’ll have to get him back for Game 7 or even earlier.
I don’t think he should come back for game 3 and 4 regardless of how they go
Same, I want to rest him for the series. It’s good that we’re up 2-0 right now, if we can win 1 of the next 2 I feel like we can get him a lot of rest.
G5 would be the earliest I’d expect to see him back, that being said it’s only 5 days away. We have a great staff, but this is a really tricky injury to deal with.
Depends on what grade it is.
IQ got a hamstring string, tried to go hard in practice 9 days later, and re-aggravated it to the point where if the Raptors won their series he very likely misses the entire 2nd round. Be careful with those things.
I love the loyalty the Toronto fanbase has shown OG. He hasn’t been on the team for over 2 years but most of the fanbase seems to be cheering for his success.
OG is so tuff bro.
casey smith/the knicks medical team have done wonders with this team’s health. OG played 74⁄68 games the last 2 years despite the injury prone label. good to hear he’s avoided a serious injury here with him playing the best ball of his career
He is the most important player on that team outside of Brunson. Plz stay healthy
its malpractice if he goes out and plays game 3. We’re up 2-0 and have more than enough talent that should be able to close the series out. Its not like this is his first hamstring issue
Thank you Anne Hathaway
Bittersweet, great that it isn’t serious but he’s also been the best part of this team in the playoffs and its most consistent player all season. Hoping for a full and rapid recovery!
Knicks need to win game 3
It has now turned into a must win.
His game reminds me a lot of Kawhi’s.
Give him the peptides, give him the salt baths, give him the massages, put him in the oxygen chamber, send in Jordan Clarkson, send him to Germany
I would put it at maybe 15% he plays game 3 just out of caution, but if it’s as minor as the Post reported it is, he could be there Sunday
Please rest him for game 3.
How could Thibbs do this…
Robbing us of OGs best stretch in his career. The NBA gods can be cruel.
Keep him on the bench please, we need him too much later
If he sits how many Knicks & Celtics fans are going to call him soft, or is that only reserved for Embiid?
I don’t think Embiid is soft, just injury prone. OG also has that label, but has played 65+ games two years in a row. 🤷
Cry more
Uh… Where did I cry?
If you’re going to spend your time calling someone soft after all the injuries he’s played through then you deserve being called out for the hypocrisy.
No way. OG brings it every night no one is doubting his toughness
Also he had a hamstring issue in 2024 against the pacers in game 2. He tried to come back for game 7 but he wasn’t healthy enough. No one doubts OG
No one doubts OG
That’s the point!
Embiid has played through a broken orbital, torn meniscus, broken orbital again, grade 2 LCL sprain, knee surgeries, bells palsy, and returned shortly after having his appendix removed. He is constantly playing through injuries. Nobody should ever question the toughness of Embiid either.
If he wasn’t a dirty player, he probably wouldn’t get nearly as much shit.
Then call him dirty if that’s how you feel.
Dirty is not the same thing as soft.
I agree.
Embiid is soft and slow and dirty.
They’ll call it a malpractice if he plays game 3 or 4
