He’s a bad defender which makes him a questionable fit next to Luka, and it’s been hand waved because of another good regular season. But the alarm bells have to be ringing. And his body not being able to hold up this season doesn’t feel like a great excuse to me.

It’s always been obvious to me reeves is a fraud. He has a “bag” and can get super hot sometimes so he gets overrated but he’s never looked like a winning player to me. Playing as 3rd option attacking closeout with luka he can be effective but if a good defense game plans against him he’s always trash.

And in a vacuum its not the worst contract if he is a player to take you to the next level, but with your team, giving him 40 mil locks you in a bad spot

AR isn’t even close to Kyrie. That’s why the pairing can’t work. You can work around the defense but against elite defense in the playoffs reaves can’t score. They aren’t even sending help. He can’t beat his man off the bounce
