[Highlight] Ausar Thompson with a chasedown block on Keon Ellis
This dude is really going to miss out on DPOYs just because Wemby exists 😢
Kinda crazy they both lost a season to blood clots and then finished 1 and 3
It’s like some getting bit by a special spider shit.
They need to change it so you have a human dpoy and alien dpoy
Im sure wemby will miss the games limit a few times+voter fatigue
So long as the 65 rule exists, Ausar will have his chances
They need to make a runner up award for himÂ
DPOY (<7’3)
Ethical DPOY (not freakishly tall just normal tall)
Is that you Tayshaun Prince?
I am so ashamed to admit that name hasn’t fired in my neurons in at least a decade. What a legitimate treasure for the time he existed in the league
I had a flashback to that block on Reggie Miller from way back
I swear this guy runs as fast as john wall
No. Tayshaun was a Champion, All-NBA Defense and a true 3-D. Ausar has good D….. but we’re still waiting on that 3.
The true story is Tay had a lot of early career learning curves so it’s fair to hold out and see.
Tayshaun was special. I remember all those corner 3s while he was playing for Kentucky, and he had a ridiculous wingspan. A quiet confidence and a reputation as a stopper. Bruce Bowen but with a better shot from the corner. Ausar may or may not develop it, but with his freakish athleticism he looks to have a long career either way
Champion true 3-D
Champion
true 3-D
That’s cool but this clip is specifically a chase down block, which is the biggest thing Tay was known for while on the Pistons. Nothing about this post is about Ausar’s offensive game or career credentials, and the comment you replied to didn’t suggest they were equals in that regard. Weird comment.
Weird comment
Well Rick, you sound like “An athletic crossdresser who loves cheese falls in love with a 26-year-old at a high school where every job is done by the principal”, does that sounds familiar….LMFAO, WTF are you watching in your spare time Rick (besides collecting ballpoint pens)? #PotCallsTheKettleBlack
What does me collecting pens and making a joke post about a movie once have to do with your bad take about Tayshaun Prince? And how is that the pot calling the kettle black lmao I don’t think you understand what that phrase means
Or maybe you just have a concussion. Do you have a concussion? What a weird thing to crash out over. Have fun reading my history more though

Haven’t seen a wing move that fast in the open court since prime LeBron.
he is a lebron level athlete
Imagine if he ever learns how to shoot.
Imagine if he grows to twice Wembys size and retains his athleticism
Imagine if he divides like a cell after that
What the fuck else is there even to work on if you’re the Thompson twins?? You can’t get any more athletic and you’re already top tier defenders. You don’t really need to dribble much at your position to be effective. They should be shooting a thousand shots a day. Nothing else. Even 35% from the arc would be fine. How are they so bad at shooting??
You think being this good of a defender is just because they’re athletic? These dudes are savants of the game and are constantly watching film and studying their assignments and then working with defensive coaches to emulate their opponents so they can take that edge into the next game. They aren’t just working out and waiting for game day playing 2K
If not saying that they are lazy, it’s just no amount of film watching can account for that chase down block. The Thompsons have elite athleticism even by NBA standards.
All I’m saying is once you have a 99 rating on defense, it’s time to put a little energy and focus into the offensive game. Taking a leap in shooting would be infinitely more valuable than getting marginally better on defense.
i agree with you. working and improving on defense is for sure important, but no reason they cant also put up shots everyday like kobe used to do
They don’t even have to be good shooters. They just have to be good enough so that the other team will at least guard them behind the arc rather than just ignoring them completely and allowing their man to play help defense.
it’ll take him a decade to be adequate.
This seriously looks like a younger LeBron play haha
You can see him time the steps out and time it perfectly which was a lebron signature play
He was moving like that objects in mirror meme
In a world without Wemby he’s winning multiple DPOYs
Without wemby we’d have a bloodbath for DPOY every year between the elite perimeter defenders like ausar, amen, and dyson and the awesome interior guys like Mobley and Chet but nope. Every year he’s eligible it’s wemby’s and it’s not even controversial he’s just that insane on defense.
And it’s not a goaltend #MYDPOY
If you take away the goaltends that wemby had last night that werent called…he’d still have like 10 blocks.
Yeah but it’s not 18, which is a big difference .
i still don’t understand goaltending can someone explain, and why does the rule exist
if it didn’t exist you could just have eight foot dudes post up next to the rim and block everything
If the ball is going up you can block it. If it’s going down you can’t
ever seen guys jump and grab shot attempts after the whistle?
thats why
Dude look at those fucking strides he doesn’t look human
Yeah that’s something I didn’t notice in real time. That’s crazy looking, jeez
He was moving different
ASTAR THOMPSON
I love seeing chase downs more than dunks. Gets me hyped every time
i really hate when our offense is stagnent and duren starts dribbling
It’s like National Geographic when the cheetah runs after its prey
Kings legend Keon Ellis
Man what a unit !
When i pull out my wallet to pay at the supermarket, I check both ways to look out for Thompson stealing my stuff
That was nasty.
Also lol at Tobias being the closest trailer and not even considering a contest
Unc knew Ausar had it
Imagine if the Thompson twins could ever learn to shoot lol
This play was #1 on SportsCenter and barely has 600 upvotes
Absolutely sick block.
As much as I miss him I remember Ellis fumbling these all the time haha.
