The do not have availability to put both games on nbc. News obligations and the tonight show do not allow for two games in the same night

Funny how they made the Rockets play a home game at 9:30 but no issue letting OKC start at 7:30

It fucking sucks. I watch on league pass with spoiler mode on to hide the scores and then they fucking have the scores for the other game in the top right of the broadcast. So I can’t even watch the second one on a delay without getting the scores spoiled

And they’ll put the score of the other game on the screen!

I want to finish the 1st game and then start the 2nd game from beginning without knowing the score

When I was younger, this would’ve upset me but now I go to bed early and I’m happy that I get to see the end of both games before 12 am est

Having two central timezone teams play at 830-930 ct every game is annoying as hell. Weekdays overlap i welcome it.

Literally just trying to push people to sub to Peacock. They no no one watches NBC Sports or whatever that channel is called. If they can boost Peacock subs then their stock will go up. No one cares about how well the NBC channel performs itself. If they truly cared about that they would have switched from the Knicks game to the TWolves game when it was an obvious blowout in the markets that got the Knicks game. I think it’s ridiculous that they didn’t even show the second game on NBC at all. Truly anti-consumer tactics being used here. I encourage everyone to use third party streaming instead of supporting these jokers from now on.

There’s a rule that local games have to tip by 830 at the latest, and with Minnesota, San Antonio and OKC all being in the central time zone that means they have tip before a prime time east coast game does.

The fact that any midweek playoff games are on broadcast television is amazing. When have over-the-air NBA broadcasts ever been the norm? Been 20 or 30 years at least.

They’ve literally been scheduling games this way since 1995. Love NBA fans complaining about a new injustice that has existed since the dawn of time.

Agree! This playoffs has been the most incredibly frustrating to watch. I’ve had games for my team where I watched it on Amazon Prime, NBC, ESPN, Peacock, and Youtube TV. I had to buy and cancel multiple services because I was literally looking at spending \(39 to watch one game because I had to buy all the other channels I didn't want. I just wanted 1 fucking game. Can't I just buy that 1 game for like \)10 somewhere?

I like it, personally. When the Knicks were blowing out the 76ers, I got to switch to Spurs/Wolves immediately instead of having to wait another hour for interesting basketball to start again.

Plus the games go for over 3hrs now due to all the stupid challenges and extended time for stoppages. FIBA is so much better to watch without all the BS for tv ads.

Its the future of streaming sports. Same reason WWE is on like 8 different channels and streaming apps. Make the customer spend the max for the content they want. However like WWE, when the content is shit it makes you not want to watch, but the advertising markets go crazy regardless.

Yes this sucks. Plus they’re not even giving me the games I want on nbc. Last night I got the other game instead of my hometown wolves. Tonight I get only the Thunder-Laker game which will probably be a blowout

They actually honestly have me debating whether I want to continue with my NBA fandom. This is about the last straw for me. If this is how the NBA is going to choose to “broadcast” their sport going forward, they’re losing me as a fan, that’s for sure. Between “blacked out” games (no, I’m not downloading your streamingapp001 whatever) and brain dead scheduling, this postseason has been the worst to follow in my time as an NBA fan
