I think Jamahl Mosley did a pretty good job culture setting around the young Magic and was mostly a scapegoat for poor roster construction. He’d do a decent job getting the table set in NO.

About time Sweeney finally gets his shine.

He’s the de facto defensive coordinator for the mavs and we build a great defensive rotation in both 2022 and 2024 playoffs with Luka/Brunson and Luka/Kyrie.

I’ll literally never understand in sports how a coach gets fired and is immediately in contention for another head coaching job. Exactly why shitty teams stay shitty.

That doesn’t seem good.

As an outsider, and non Pelicans fan, also a Celtics hater… I’d like to see Rondo given a chance, maybe you grab Ham or another former HC as an assistant.

That being said, I think they’re crazy if they don’t add Mosley to the short list. He really helped set the solid defensive groundwork for Orlando, he’s just not the guy to take them any further.

Ham and Mosley are pretty uninspiring even for retread candidate. Sweeney and Hetzel seem like totally reasonable assistants to give a chance as the main guy. I honestly wasn’t even aware Rondo was coaching, let alone in contention for HC positions anywhere.

It’s Dumars and Weaver though so I’m going to assume it’s Ham or Rondo lmao.

I’m rolling the dice with Rondo if these are my choices. I see a few comments talking about his attitude stuff from his playing days, but it seemed to me on the Lakers championship team that he was a positive influence on that team, plus he is just extremely smart when it comes to the game itself. It could go wrong but I feel like he has a lot of upside as a coach.

Rondo definitely has his share of baggage (both personal and basketball) so fair enough to anyone who doesn’t want all that.

But he’s also a basketball strategy savant and for the later part of his career was a really good locker room vet, especially in terms of mentoring younger players.

I could see it working out, especially compared with retreads like Ham.
