I don’t think anyone is assuming he just wanted to break his hand on a wall. The issue is that he was recklessly punching random stuff in anger. Also, it’s not like it’s a wild surprise that there would be something behind a curtain.

It was a stupid mistake and it’s great that he’s grown and matured.

People really providing you with dog shit answers. He made some major mistakes (not wrapping up his dick) and impregnated multiple women who seem to mostly be in it for the money. He seems to be a fine parent for 3 of his 4 children (probably can’t ask for much better from a 23 year old with 3 baby mommas living in different places), however he is in a lengthy legal battle with the 4th child’s mom in court (going on for at least a year) to decide which jurisdiction (GA v. CA) that child support will be handled. 

During these proceedings there has been some mudslinging and given that he is not suing for visitation it seems like he may not end up involved in that child’s life, outside of child support which he has been sending since the child was born and proven to be his. All this to say that imo he was taken advantage of by some older women who see their child as a meal ticket, but at the same time (imo) he needs to man up and just accept that even though he explicitly did not want the child and does not like the child’s mother, the child was born and he needs to be involved if he can. That being said, it’s very possible that the mom would fight against visitation, it seems that she has been pretty unreasonable from the jump and would pull any legal lever she could fine to get more money out of him. 

All in all it’s a messy and shitty situation that many children of professional athletes find themselves in wherein neither parent really wants the child and I feel for the child. I also think it’s fair to call him a bad parent for the child that he won’t be seeing, but the bullshit about video games and the amount of babies he had over a short period aren’t really good answers. Plenty of good parents have hobbies and calling him out for playing video games around his kids is BS. 

Is it even theoretically possible to be a good dad when you have 4 kids by 4 different women and spend nearly all your time away playing basketball in different cities?

I get what you’re saying, and generally I would agree, but it’s not like we get to see him with his kids or how people close to him actually view him on TV, especially not internet folks.

A little off topic as well, but his most recent upload was a personal injury updated that didn’t come from Shams or the League so it’s definitely credible in that regard.

Believe it or not, people can change for the better. Of course he’s wrong for all of that, but how long are we going to repeat that same sentiment over the years when he’s actually a dope dad in real life.

Even acknowledging that the women are also horrible isn’t enough. They really treat him as though he is a naive middle schooler who has no idea what’s going on and is 100% a victim.
