New strategy to make the most of your vets:
Handshake deals with other GMs to “trade away” a vet in such a specific way that they end up back on your team with a month or two of rest
Seriously, he’s played really well since he came back, starting with that Rockets game
In all seriousness, a month off in the middle of the season probably did a lot of good.

I wonder if this might become a new strategy with older players. If you’re solidly in the playoffs, why not create some mystery injury for your aging vet so he can get some rest the last month or two
This is literally load management
The way teams currently do load management, they rest players on front end of back-back or sit out every other game or two. I feel like sitting out an entire month at a time would be way more beneficial
