Am I tripping here? He doesn’t hit his head! Look at the replay. He swings and misses, and his arm kinda rubs on Randle’s arm after the ball has gone through the hoop. If he hit his head, the movement wouldn’t be so smooth, and Randle’s head would be jolted by the contact. Randle isn’t jolted at all. And you better believe that Randle would be mentioning something to the refs if he was straight up smacked in the head.
I didn’t see the hit to the head either. I do think it was arguably a foul by Wemby but it’s hardly the most egregious foul he’s gotten away with and imo is a good no call.
I’ve seen so many comments about how he smacks him in the head. I think it’s because Randle reacts to Wemby being there all of a sudden as he turns his head quickly to look at Wemby. In the real-time footage, I can definitely see how that can be interpreted as being smacked in the head. But in the replay? Very clearly a fine non-call. (like you said, could arguably be a regular foul too)

Wemby leads the league in blocks, is 7’4”, and has a ferocious defensive style. You don’t lead the league in blocks with a playstyle like that if you don’t get away with a shitload of fouls on your blocks throughout the season, and that’s not a bad thing for him.
