Literally went from a franchise of nothing to the most fun decade in franchise history, yes Lebronto but I stg half the flairs I’m seeing here would fucking dream of having the 2010s we had without the damn ring let alone literally winning it. He’s also 100% the best person available for Dallas to hire.

He made a few mistakes near the end of his tenure in TO, but outside of the Bruno Caboclo pick (20th), he was flawless - and I mean it in its literal form, flawless for nearly a decade.

Every draft pick, trade, signing, etc. was a W. even DeMarre Carroll made sense, he just got injured. His transaction history in the 2010s is unbelievably flawless.

Those hating on Masai are idiots.  He build a team in Toronto, not necessary a free agent hot spot, draft extremely well (dont forget he also signed Fred Van Vleet off the street and he was an all star later.  Traded for Kwahi at the right moment for the chip (they are not going anywhere with DeMar anyway).

Minus some hiccups on holding OG/Siakam, and one or two off picks, they are a team that people should look at on how to build from ground up and becoming successful.

Idk why people act like Dallas has nothing lol. Flagg, Lively, Kyrie, Naji, PJ, Christie, Gafford, two 2026 firsts including a top 10 pick, $21M trade exception w/ a super clean cap sheet, 2029 Lakers first, two tradeable future firsts this summer (2031 and 2033).

Sure, they dont have control of their draft these next 4 years but they have plenty to worth with. And they already have the hardest thing to get in Cooper Flagg.

Wagler is my first choice for lead guard. He shows enough of a BBIQ to not be a chucker, has decent size and is still a good shooter. He negates the issues of Acuff, Brown and Flemmings.

He’s the closest I’ve seen to Real Madrid Luka as a prospect. The way he controls tempo and sees the floor- if he hits the ground running and stays healthy, Wagler with Flagg will be something special for a longggg time imo

His asset management after the Barnes pick was questionable but I won’t let anyone boil his tenure down to 1 trade. His work from 2013-2019 was genuinely fantastic, consistently finding value late in the draft, winning pretty much every trade he made, establishing the 905 which developed most of the core that would go on to win that chip. We don’t win in 2019 without everything he did leading up to the trade, he built an all time great team.

He put together this current raptors team that looks to have a pretty bright future

His drafting/talent acquisition between 2016-2019 was insane, and paved the way for that Kawhi trade to actually work out.

His last move was drafting CMB who just led the rookies in playoffs with points, minutes, and FG made.

He’s really good at talent evaluation, giving out contracts tho not so much 😭

He def made a name for himself by swindling the Knicks over and over again. The Bargs trade still doesn’t make sense.
