He also joined an exclusive list of players to tally 225-plus points and 50-plus assists in a playoff series, one that includes Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Dončić, LeBron James, Jerry West and Oscar Robertson.

It’s funny to see this stat cherry-picked to praise Cunningham given how much shit Giannis got for that series. Outside of the 2019 ECF and 2020 Round 2 he got more criticism for that series than any other in his career, and here it is on a “Look at the elite company this other guy is in” list.

But imagine how much more impressive it would have been if he had scored 15 total points over the next two games…

In the next round, Jordan scored 214 points with 50 assists in 6 games. He should have lost one of those game to score an extra point in game 7!
