[Highlight] The Cleveland Cavaliers defeat the Toronto Raptors in Game 7, 114-102, to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. They will face the Detroit Pistons, starting on Tuesday, May 5th.
Good series cavs fans! Its been fun!
Yeah that was a fuckin dogfight in round 1. Respect. You guys have so many solid young players
I projected the raptors to win one game and id be happy. Them pushing all the way to game 7 was beyond me. So stoked!
That watson and battle guy are both great players.
Undrafted gems
Your team almost induced a mass heart attack to all Cavs fans. No moral victories and all that BS but I’d be proud
We’re so used to that shit I’m not sure any one of us was surprised when RJ’s miracle shot went in in G6 even
Honestly we needed a good punch in the dick as a wakeup call
Y’all exposed the fuck out of us for like 24 out of 28 quarters, looking like the much better team, and Scottie easily the best player in the series except for game 7 JA…though Scottie wasn’t contributing in the 4Q much in some games
Im sure its not gonna be any easier in terms of physicality against the pistons.
Cant wait to be back once we have a healthy lineup
I don’t think I’ve ever been this stressed watching a series, I love Scottie Barnes but I also hate him lol
Yall real spooky. You have a gem in CMB and Scottie will be an all nba guy real soon. Go enjoyed your grilled cheese Scottie
Pistons cavs is a true 50⁄50. Feels like neither will be favored
I hope it’s a great series
Interesting little rivalry
Diamond Danny G. kinda wins either way. as does a casino owner
Pistons have pressure since they’re the #1 seed.
Cavs have pressure because they have James Harden and Donovan Mitchell.
Should be interesting.
The Cavs also have pressure because this feels like the last year or two they have with this core, unless they at least make the finals. With the Pistons, if they lose I can see them running it back for years to come with some roster tweaks here and there. With the Cavs, most of these guys are either getting old or liable to be traded if another disappointing playoff exit happens this year.
Honestly I think most level headed Pistons fans just wanted to win a fucking series, Regardless of 1st seed. These young guys needed to experience that. I really feel there is more pressure on Cavs cause of them not getting passed the 2nd round the last few seasons and they might be forced to make big changes in the offseason if they lose.
I have the Pistons this is a good matchup for them, I think they play even tougher than Toronto and have a real MVP candidate leading there offense. Mobley and Allen have to play MUCH more physical if they want to not get run over
I couldn’t disagree more, not that it’s won’t be a great series that could go either way, but I think we match up much better with the Pistons than a team like Toronto. We always have trouble with teams who’ll pressure the ball for entire possession, and that isn’t the Pistons really. They’re physical but much more so on the interior.
Maybe another 7 game series. Or atleast 6
Pistons going to body. They had their adversity in round 1 and should be the clear favourites from most perspectives
Cavs match up very well to us though, we struggled with them all regular season.
Ya you ain’t wrong Im just speaking from the heart and 100% cheering for D Troit basketball from here on out
never doubted for one second
completely unrelated.. how do I hide all my posts/comments from my profile?
Hard to be too upset as a Raptors fan, despite a bummer second half. Taking a team like Cleveland to 7 while missing two of their best scorers is a real achievement for a team as young and early in their timeline as Toronto.
Who was missing? Quickly?
Quickley, and BI was playing injured until he fully sat out
The lights weren’t as bright as expected
Celtics solidified as the biggest frauds of the east. Love to see it
Gg Toronto…you guys got a great young team and are super fun to watch…I hope we never have to play you again in the playoffs anytime soon respectfully lol
Close fought series all the way through.
2nd Half Raptors looked completely outmatched, yikes
Scottie in foul trouble with IQ and BI out and only RJ as our consistent scorer? Yeah no shit. The sky is blue, headass.
Crazy series. You could kinda feel it as a raps fan going into the half that it might be coming to an end, then we missed so many open looks and free throws in the third.
Gg
Gg. Sad ending but good season
Toronto still never beat Cleveland in Cleveland
Most of us Raps fans figured Cavs in 5. So taking it to 7, I’m proud of us. Gotta get some shooting off season and make some improvements, but considering last year we had 30 wins, this was a big step in the right direction.
never in doubt
I think it hurt the Raptors to not be able to insert Dick to turn the game around
I wonder if that rim on the right side was messed up or crooked lmao…seems like neither team could buy a bucket on it
Michigan vs Ohio, about time we had a rivalry between us.
Good series Cavs fans. Despite the narrative I though the Cavs were really deadly any time Toronto even had a small lapse in their defence. Raps had to battle their butts off on defence and I’m proud to say that they did that for much of the series. Next round should be fun.
Cleveland vs Detroit
Michigan vs Ohio
Should be another great series
3rd playoff matchup between Detroit/Cleveland sports teams in 19 months. The vibes will be extraordinary I can’t wait
Great fun series. Too bad Scottie chose this game to have 5 fouls (last time was January).
What having game 7 on the 2 year anniversary of Meet the Grahams does to a team 😔. GG Raptors, you’ll be back. You got a hell of a young core
Man fuck drake.
The highest payroll in the NBA struggled to beat a bunch of rookies and sophomores. Good luck against the Pistons
