[Injury] Jalen Suggs kicks his leg back after taking a halfcourt shot attempt to beat the buzzer, and Cade Cunningham slightly hits him upon landing (with replays). Suggs gets hurt.
Upon review, no foul.
Might be the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen a player do on a court.
Like me biting into a pizza roll fresh out of the oven. I know it’s gonna hurt but the reward is always worth the pain.
Mr. Plinkett approves.
The Orlando Magic are the most disappointing basketball team since my son’s.
Plinkett sucks ass 😂
That’s why you have to microwave them so then the one in the middle is cold enough to bite
To you. We only expected to make the second round this year. We were 1 game away 🫠
Not when you burn your tongue. Then you can’t taste and you’re in pain
Must have thought he was bowling.
Bro’s doing a fucking Ginyu Force pose
AKA Magic basketball baby!
You’ve never seen Javale McGee on the court
Javale’s antics didn’t usually come with a risk of shredding every tendon in his ankle
Backfired horribly
It tends to be that way when you try to leg whip a guy doing a completely clean close out
Shit this will probably help Orlando if he has to sit
He’s the only one who can guard Cade, so no it won’t
Their best defender against him is already injured.
Instant karma
Kicked his leg two feet in front of him, like he was doing a curtsy.
Magic are a ridiculously dirty team.
Idk if they’re ridiculously dirty…
How are the Magic dirty? Jalen obviously wanted to injure himself on purpose
Desmond Bane? Moritz Wagner? Franz Wagner? Cole Anthony as recently as last year?
They have a type, it’s not a secret lmao
Hawks have had 3 players suffer significant injuries in the past year and a half due to reckless plays by Orlando (plus the Bane/Okongwu pulldown/spike)
[deleted]
Did you see what Goga did to Jock Landale lol
How is this a dirty play lol his body is literally rotating after the shot it just so happens that Cade came down on him
He tried to trip Cade after the shot. Lu Dort does the leg kick after 3’s too.
That’s the biggest instant karma I’ve ever seen lmao
buddy hurt himself trying to grift, you hate to see it
Suggs peaked at Gonzaga. One of the worst players in the playoffs right now for a reason
In recent memory for how much he’s played he might be the worst player I’ve seen in the playoffs
Sometimes the Knicks weren’t even looking at Dyson Daniels when he had the ball in his hand
Dyson is a great defender but the moment was too bright for him this year. Suggs is straight trash.
Dyson at least plays great defense
Decent grappling
You right i just feel like somehow suggs is even worse lol
“Thanks Toronto!”
that could have ended a lot worse
Bum activity
genuinely makes me lose any respect I had left for him
If we’re lucky, he won’t be back in the game and I’ll never have to see him in a Magic uniform again.
Send his ass to Guadalajara on one of those spirit planes
Did he come back in
I haven’t watched a minute of this game. Our season ended two days ago. This ass beating was just a formality.
Shameless behavior
Actually hilarious
Man tried to take out Cade, took himself out instead
Is everyone here blind? That wasn’t dirty or flopping by Suggs at all - just a goofy way to end a heave while spinning. Unfortunate and obviously also not dirty by Cade.
I’d love to see anyone here catch the ball facing sideways and then heave a half court shot without their legs doing something like this
It’s shocking that anyone thinks this was dirty by Suggs or some example of blatant foul baiting.
Yeah, the weirdness with the left leg is a byproduct of the aggressive twist into the shot. It definitely looked off, but when I thought about how my body would move if I tried to do the same thing, it checked out.
Suggs is his own worst enemy.
Suggs stupid ass thought he was a soccer player 😂
FAFO
tf bro doin
What an idiot
He tried to take out Cade and got hurt smh.
Season over
A former footballer so by pure instinct he went for the Rabona
Dude wasn’t hurt. NBA needs to do something about all these fake injuries, flopping. Turning into soccer
If that was Murray instead of Suggs, and McDaniels instead of Cade, then contact occurred so it’s absolutely a foul and possibly even a technical.
Because that just happned in their other series where all Jaden did was jump straight up for the contest 1.5 to 1 foot infront of the 3pt line and Murray jumped forward with his 3pt shot from well behind the arc to land a foot past the line and came down on top of McDaniels foot. “there was foot contact, so there is a foul…” Nevermind that Murray was attempting to initiate contact in the air on half his 3pt attempts that day so it’s likely he once again jumped forward across the line for this same reason again that time.
Clearly nothing was intentional in this Suggs/Cade event. Unless you want to ask Suggs if he was attempting to make contact with the player fully contesting to the side of him with that strange leg whip out. The refs of this league can get it right now and then, and also flat out wrong often enough even after reviewing the play.
What I want to know is, is Wendell Carter exaggerating, or is he legitimately getting shoved to the ground during every loose ball, or is he suffering from vertigo
Should have been an offensive foul
If anything, should have been a hostile act by Suggs. He didn’t need to kick his leg out as he did and only reason to do so is to try do draw unnatural contact or hurt the other teams star.
Slightly is an understatement
That was dumb dumb.
Couple nephews in the game thread conveniently missed that Suggs kick out. Classic.
Should’ve called a foul on Suggs and sent Cade to the line.
This guys absolutely suggs
Wtf… his body was rotating to get the shot off and continued rotating.
Have none of you do any physical activity before?
And was the circular force of his bodily rotation so strong it forced one of his legs to kick out behind him? Watch the clip bro lmao he was baiting for a call.
It’s called counter balance.
Ever seen someone bowl?
I think you and I both know the answer to that lmao
Lmao
I’m gonna side with the former NBA player, and a very athletic one at that, that this was not a natural motion. Unless you think his experience also doesn’t count?
I agree it’s not a natural shooting motion but I also disagree because it was not a normal shot. So my point stands
