[Russo] 2026 Philadelphia 76ers join the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers and the 1995 Houston Rockets as the only non-bubble teams since 1984 to come back from down 3-1 and win Game 7 on the road.
I take back everything I’ve said about Paul George and the cocaine he was probably using
HE CAN HOST 76 PODCASTS FOR ALL I CARE
Paul George gets so overhated, he’s 35 with so many injuries in his CV
36 today
Make fentanyl legal
Bill Simmons recording a 4-hour emergency podcast titled “Is this worse than the 2004 Yankees? (With my dad).”
Bill: “This was a gap year for us. It just is.”
“Oh and congrats to Embiid for what exactly? Beating a Boston team without Tatum who just came back from an Achilles injury. let’s see what happens next year when he’s fully healthy”
He said he wasn’t doing a pod tonight because it’s his daughter’s birthday lol
Meanwhile he was Tweeting angrily about the reffing during the game so yeah nice excuse
He was actually super specific that he wouldn’t pod today because of his daughter’s birthday and he wouldn’t do anything to take away from her plans because he didn’t want to give the Celtics ANY negative karma which is hilarious
Hey I remember that!
Can you remind me what happened in 2016?
Grab a chair and let me tell you about the greatest nba finals of all time.
I’m not a fan of bubble astrixes, but definitely makes sense here. Very interesting
IMO, the Bubble season was the most competitive in league history because of the pandemic and chaos.
Yeah I’m in the “badge of honor” camp
Yeah but here it makes sense to exclude those series from this stat since this is specifically about teams winning game 7 on the road, which wasn’t really a thing in the bubble.
#WE WANT BOSTON
Why is this excluding the bubble? No team won on the road in Game 7 in the bubble
Generally “road game” is not ever used for a game that is played on a neutral side, so it’s kinda pointless to add that. Also even if the guy believes that, it seems quicker to just add Denver on the list than that sentence.
“Since 1984” is also quite pointless, suggests maybe it happened a lot up to 1984 lol. It happened once, in 1968.
Yeah russel celtics came back against defending champion chamberlain philly who had finally beaten them 4-1 the year before
Weird to leave it out
1984 is just when 16 team playoffs started, which is why it’s added to a most of these playoff stats add it in.
Because casuals like to act like their team would have turned down success in the bubble.
Game 7 in the bubble was technically a home game for the Clippers (2 seed) and the Nuggets (3 seed) won
Just because a team is listed as the home team doesn’t mean it’s not a neutral site game. Every game needs a “home” team just for box score purposes.
No one would suggest Michigan won a home game over UConn to win the NCAA Championship because Michigan was the higher seed and thus listed as the home team for the game
Elite company talk yo shit Philly!
Historical shit right here.
Maybe it’s finally Embiid legacy year and his path to finals at least? Fingers crossed for his knees.
I’d love to see it, that’d be the curveball nobody saw coming
PHILLY, THIS IS FOR YOU!
COMPUTAH activate my firewall and ERASE tonight’s MEMORY.
I didn’t know they were allowed to do that
I could cry.
I will cry.
WE WANT BOSTON
I agree go cavs

Cade plays in Detroit tomorrow
If we aren’t counting the bubble for stats like this, I’m good with it as long as we keep calling the Lakers win a Mickey Mouse Ring
It’s because road games didn’t mean anything in the bubble
A casual take from someone whose team couldn’t cope.
So you’re saying the Lakers never had to win any games on the road en route to their ring
Why is a Raptors fan of all people against the Lakers? Also, the bubble the best pure basketball experience ever, and every team tried, don’t pretend the Lakers faced plumbers or some shit.
Raps fans are only pro-Lakers if they’re facing the Celtics. Otherwise, why would we like you? Kobe 81, the amount of Lakers jerseys at home games when Lakers come, etc.
Dawg its not that you should like us dummy, its that why should you care about us at all? The hate is weird. We’re in different conferences, I could understand Warrior hate due to your history, but Laker hate doesn’t really make sense. Lebron hate I’d totally understand. You do you tho.
The bubble was neutral site games, not road games
You can call it whatever you want, it still counts the same as any other ring 💍
