I love that Lakers fans are seemingly more happy about this result than their team’s win.

I think we might be seeing the turning point where the focus is gonna shift from building offenses around volume 3’s, to having a more balanced inside and outside game. The defense at the perimeter has gotten a lot more advanced and in order to get open, players are having to run all around the court and under screens, and it’s tiring them out to the point that they can’t shoot as consistently. You need someone either super fast or strong to get in the inside when you need those clutch buckets. And we’re seeing how much more impactful defensive anchor big men are than stretch bigs, you gotta be able to post up and block some damn shots
