Scottie was gassed as hell by the end, but what a monster performance
HIM
He stayed on the floor since RJ was in early foul trouble, but turns out it was so RJ could stay fresher to hit that absolute bomb at the end
Just like we planned it
48 minutes of being insanely active on both ends, yeah not a shocker
While playing injured without a secondary option
And without his primary ball handler
This series is a prime example of why Scottie should be the primary ball handler, stop taking the ball out of his hands.
Get bro an IV stat
Yeh chasing around harden and Mitchell all game and being the engine on offence is crazy. Might have to do it again since it’s the last game
If the raptors didn’t trade OG i feel like it would have been better for Barnes. He’s expected to do so much on both ends of the court. Barnes, OG, and CMB would have been a great defensive trio.
Only sat for 6 mins in regulation and played all of OT while playing full court press chasing around a smaller guard.
He’s actually him
He passed off the shot to Shead on purpose. knew RJ would hit a legacy game winner in OT
Face of the league, let’s be real.
Seriously though, him with spacing (so he can farm assists), good bigs (so he doesn’t need to be our only rebounder/last line of defense, giving him a lot more rest), and a genuine 1st/2nd option guard (so he doesn’t have to be every role on offense), would be 1st team level. He’s one of the 5 best defenders in the league (and the only one that’s a wing disruptor, since it’s really only Wemby/Chet/Gobert who compare) and a very good offensive player, and that’s while being forced to be the offensive centerpiece and cover for the rest of the team
14 assists. He got the last one on RJ’s 3.
This was a statement game by the franchise player. What a star.
It ain’t pretty but damn is he effective
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
He’s been hitting some pretty looking shots this run. He gets to his spots and rises up, gives me kawhi vibes with those sometimes. But obviously kawhi is on a different level
If he had a Kawhi handle he’d be pretty much at this level. He’s every bit as good on D (worse POA, better disruptor), his midrange has developed so well, he’s obviously as good of a bully guy, and he’s incomparably better as a facilitator (Kawhi’s only weakness was that he’s always been a pretty weak passer, esp bc when he’s doubled his only ability is to sink contested shots)
He’s definitely not nearly as good in the midrange, but the rest of his game is so good and would be so complemented by a fluid handle. Unfortunately it’s still not developed, but it’s not bad either, so
Neurodivergence is beautiful ❤️
Most underrated player in the NBA
raptors got 70m sitting on the bench btw
14 assists*
BEST PLAYER IN THIS SERIES
He should have had way more than 4 free throws. His playmaking was unreal
Barnes is underrated
IM FEELING STRONGERRR
FSU legend
I WAS TOLD MITCHELL WAS BETTER, THIS SERIES IS PROVING OTHERWISE
14 assists on 3 TOV with this squad is absurd lol
Franchise legend
He’s so fucking good!!!
better than jokic /s
Great overall game from him but need him to actually try to score at the end of close games and not pass off to everyone else.
When will they put some respect on his name
The 4th was ugly though.
He looked gassed but thats not an excuse. Has to play better on O, his D was good throughout
Having to score and play make without Ingram quickley while also guarding harden / Dmitch Scottie is a t15-20 player literally insane what he’s been doing
The fact that he only had 4 FTs is criminal.
SCT BRNS
fuck this cavs team man they are such god damn losers
I swear it’s just a matter of time before he bags a 5x5. What a complete player.
The nba is a fucking joke entirely because they cannot stop for a single moment to make sure a call is right.
I’m a neutral here, but they never show questionable foul replays. So many other sports out of the US have extra referees to essentially ensure they aren’t getting essential calls completely wrong.
It’s just unbearable. I only come to watch playoffs now and even that is infuriating as a spectator.
I’m assuming the comparison here is the EuroLeague, and therefore I’m also assuming you’d rather watch refs that are equally incapable of refereeing go over a replay for 3 minutes with shit angles while they can’t overturn the call anyway lol
I don’t actually watch euro league so didn’t know that was a thing lol.
Cricket, Rugby, and Football are in the ball park of international sports. Even in tennis, you have a decent amount of umpire challenges.
I mean shit even look at the NHL and their referees can call a game at speed.
Prime is the worst broadcast they never show any replays unless a challenge is called.
