The Orlando Magic scored 19 points in the second half, breaking the record of 25 set by the Houston Rockets in 2018.
The Rockets set the record for fewest points in a playoff half during Game 6 of the 2018 Western Conference Finals, when they scored only 25 against the Golden State Warriors.
What seemed like an unbreakable record was shattered tonight by the Orlando Magic, who at one point led by as much as 24. They scored 19 in the second half. They missed 27 of their last 28 shots.
Their 8 points in the 4th quarter almost tied the record set by the Boston Celtics for fewest points in a playoff quarter. The Celtics scored 7 points in the first quarter vs. the Hawks on April 19, 2016.
For comparison, the worst half in NBA history was a 16 point performance by the New Orleans Hornets in 2006.
