Another brutal playoff loss for Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets as him and Joel Embiid remain as the only players with more MVPs than Conference Finals appearances. Real questions have begun circulating on his impact and effectiveness on the defensive end of the floor.
While he still has time to add to his playoff resume, valid questions do come up when looking at his playoff success.

* - denotes a player that can still gain an additional MVP or CF appearance this season
Jokic is still only 31, so there’s time to reshape the narrative. And while, historically, most MVPs have made deeper and more frequent runs - Ii is worth noting that some of these players didn’t rack up additional Conference Finals until they were ring chasing in smaller roles on other teams.
Finally one more interesting note: Jokic is one of five MVPs in league history to never win 60 games in a regular season, joining Joel Embiid, Allen Iverson, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Bob Pettit - which may highlight some shortcomings in the regular season as well.
Do the Nuggets need roster changes for another deep run, or is this on Jokic?
