More and more the regular season does not translate to the post season. I feel like once a team has become accustomed to the post season, the players don’t take the regular season as seriously. Especially with how tanking works, if you’re a team that is trying to win then you’re already guaranteed the play in - if you’re a team that also doesn’t suck then you’re going to be in the playoffs. They just need to play enough to figure out their dynamic through the season and stay fresh, but they balance that with avoiding injuries and strains.

This is revisionist history, he looks like a shell of himself against the Lakers in 2023. AD was every bit as potent of a defender back then as Gobert is now, having one of the most dominant defensive postseason runs up until that series, and yet Jokic consistently got the better of AD. He was more slippery, quicker, more agile, faster, and had better touch compared to himself today. And he wasn’t nearly as much of a liability on defense as he has been this series.

This series needs to be studied. Rudy finally had his Dikembe moment, all the naysayers over his career must appreciate what he brings to a court, it’s undeniable.

Denvers complete lack of dribble penetration defence because of Joker refusing to step up to help a guard slow down their man, his lack of any rim protection was abused all series.

I haven’t see a HOFer matchup picked apart like this since what Dallas did to Kobe in 2011. Minny just systematically hunted his presence at all times.

The worst part is Denver could’ve mititgated Joker and Murray’s inability to stay in front of the ball and protect the rim. Just pack the fucking paint.
