[Uthayakumar] The number one offence in the NBA has scored 98 points in an elimination game against a team that’s without 3 of their 5 leading scorers.
21st in defense this season.
Rudy Future Hall of Famer Gobert is a big reason why
Legacy series.
Jokic was making some insane shots in the third against great defense but Gobert held him in check the entire 4th, Jokic’s last made shot was with 8:05 left in the game.
Congrats Gobert your reward is a young nimble 7’5” alien
That’s a better reward than CANCUN, like where the Nuggets are at now
There’s no way Nuggets get to go somewhere that nice. It’s Galveston after that kind of performance.
hey man, let us have this real quick
When it comes to 31 year old Nikola. Rudy… you ARE the father.
Happy for him. The man gets slandered way to much for how good of a defender he is
Jaden McDaniels on Jamal deserves just as much credit
It’s really both of them. They defended 2v2 more than 1v1. Amazing communication on navigating screens together
Rudy and Jaden one of the best defensive pairings anyone’s seen
Murray got held in a strait jacket by McDaniels all series
Just like in 2024
At least he didn’t throw a hissy fit and throw shit on the court this time. That’s growth.
I can’t wait to hear about how unlucky they are that Aaron Gordon is out.
They’ve been chatting how this is Jokic’s best team ever regardless. I wanna see the excuses now cause BOTH team have been injured, with the wolves being hurt to a bigger degree in terms of player impact
They’ll walk it back about him having good teammates now that he went out sad again
They’re gonna wipe Murrays all-star from the history books just so they can push the “no help” agenda
this denver team was nowhere near the 2023 team
The best part is the nuggets record in the series was the same with and without him.
It’s not luck when it keeps on happening, but are we seriously gonna say Aaron Gordon missing wasn’t a big deal?
No shot you’re mentioning injuries against a hospital team.
I didn’t say anything about Wolves being lucky, but it is a fact that missing those 2 were a big deal as they are like the only good 2 way players on the team.
How does losing to the Wolves B team affect Jokic’s legacy?
Obviously this means the Wolves B team is a 50 win team
Did somebody say 50
That tracks since Jokic had never beaten a 50 win team until last years fake clippers
Jokic can do no wrong to most ppl here.
Can’t wait until the ringer ranks him best player to have ever lived again. I guarantee you that Zac Lowe and bill Simmons are having breakdowns right now. The over inflation of jokic will hopefully stop and maybe he will be treated the same way other players in the league are. His VORP GWORP LEBRON and all that bullshit means nothing if you can’t defend an AAU team.
Hey they’ll just blame his teammates again like they always do.
Bill Simmons and his podcast acolytes have led to a strange time for NBA fandom. Half don’t actually watch games. They listen to podcasts and regurgitate what they heard. There was a flood of advanced stats that popped up showing why Joker was actually an above average defender now.
Don’t believe our eyes. Believe the advanced stats.
It will get forgotten when he drops 45/12/12 against the nets next year
gotta be one of the most humiliating eliminations in Denver sports history - up there with the 2003 Avs and the 1996 Broncos
2013 Broncos, 2012 Broncos
Rudy Gobert
You need 20? He’ll give you a triple double. You need 40? He’ll give you a triple double. Just can’t take over games like Curry and LeBron
He has 7 40+ point games in 100 playoff appearances. Curry has 8 in 155. He also has a higher career playoff PPG.
I am down for some Jokic slander but “oh he can’t take over games” is weak as fuck, base it in reality. His defence is horrible and all the talk about him turning mediocre teammates into gods over the last however long has always been bullshit and there’s never been clearer evidence than Jamal Murray in this series, but he can definitely take over games.
He was offering no protection at the rim and pretty much let Mcdaniels and Shannon get any shot at the rim they wanted but him and cam Johnson pretty much carried the offense in the 3rd and some of the 4th
Jamal Murray went 4-17. That’s a tough scene.
Yeah, Jokic did take over the game in the second half, on offense at least. He was just a traffic cone on defense and his teammates kept throwing bricks.
don’t wanna hear Rudy Gobert disrespect again
Rudy Gobert and Jaden McDaniels had them in hell.
Jaden and Rudy > shaq and Kobe
I dunno, didn’t Rudy start a pandemic /s
It’s a miracle Shaq didn’t with his weird scat fetish
May be the most points stopped in a single season
Lmaooooooo
Nuggets missed 7 out of 8 shots in the last 7 minutes of the game, and honestly a bunch of them were wide open. Just couldn’t knock down the shots when it mattered.
I don’t ever want to hear Jokic compared to Shaq again
Jokic may have been shit in games 2-4 but this one isn’t on him. This is Jamal’s fault to along with terrible coaching from Adelman
I feel like him being shit in their 3 straight losses that swung the series means he probably shares a little blame.
I’m talking about tonight but yeah. Jamal looked like he didn’t care
Fair. I think Murray just wanted the series over so he wouldn’t have to see McDaniels anymore.
He was way too passive
Still waiting for him to actually have a legacy game
They didn’t score in like the final 8 minutes of the 4th. If that was Lebron, EVERYONE would destroy him about not having the killer instinct of Jordan and emptying the clip in the 4th.
He was making the right decisions though, I’d rather he pass out to open shooters than force bad shots. The issue was no one else could do anything
Fair, especially for a small number of possessions, but when you can see nobody else can make a shot, there comes a time to start going taking Lebront type shots. He’s supposedly the best offensive player ever, I expect that title to come with go-to-moves that can’t be stopped when it is needed.
Jokic can’t defend for shit! Denver has no resistance at the basket and Minnesota is not scared at all of them. A big man is supposed to defend the paint or at least intimidate players from taking it to the basket. Jokic does not do this at all and this is why he is primarily responsible for them losing.
He was absolutely awful in the last 5 minutes too
Defense wins championships- Nico the GOAT harrison
Christin Braun is ass
Where do they even point the finger now. Cam Johnson showed up in the last few games.
Watson and Gordon injuries as an excuse is weak when you can’t beat the Wolves without their best player and 2 starters out.
No FRPs, no swaps and these humongous Murray and Braun contracts are impossible to get out of in this current CBA
You trade Jokic. This team ain’t winning nothing. Better to get something.
No idea, I thought the trades the made last offseason would get them over the hump again. The Braun contract is crippling for them
Flipping MPJ into Cam Johnson and that extra cap space for Bruce Brown and THJ were good FO moves in theory but at the end of the day I feel like those are just moves around the edges when there’s a gigantic hole in the core where they can’t protect the paint or make shots in the playoffs
Poor paint protection is also magnified when they can’t guard anything on the perimeter
Rudy the Jokic stopper
Shaq can’t hate on Gobert tonight!
How there are jamal murray fans I’ll never know. MF shrinks from the brightest lights everytime unless it’s against the Lakers.
You know what a huge reason this happened is? They traded MPJ, who previously forced Finch to assign McDaniels to Murray. With Cam replacing MPJ, Finch was free to put McDaniels on Murray, disrpupting both his isolation scoring, and the two-man game between Murray and Jokic, with McDaniels and Gobert defending it now instead of Conley and Gobert.
Supposed best player in the world btw
Shaq is still going to make this game about him and how much he is better that Gobert
Maybe Jaden McDaniels will get some DPOY votes next season
Well at least they spelled defense right
JUSTICE FOR NICO HARRISON
Jamal Murray don’t play ball after April 15th apparently
Bury them, Uthayakumar.
Nico was right about the defense and championship thing…still the worst trade ever though.
I mean on one-hand, they were down the series so it was an uphill battle…. BUT CHRIST, how do you pass up an opportunity for an upset LIKE THIS!
These boys are soft! Just like their coach. Whiny ass mofo. Mike Malone was a whiny bitch too. The Nuggets are frontrunners who don’t know how to play with physicality. And honestly the amount of shit talking their players do playing off of Jokic is ridiculous. Half their team is scrubs who can only see an NBA floor because of the orbit Jokic creates. Half their open threes are because teams have to collapse defensively to try to stop Jokic. It’s all him, directly and indirectly.
Lowkey been a fraud team that’s built a fraud bench for years and it’s catching up to them more and more.
I think the Timberwolves being so injured helped them temporarily. The Nuggets had no footage or intel about some of the players Minnesota had on the floor.
Whatever advantage that conferred was overridden by their top three guards being out
Every guy who played is in the scouting report taped on the wall in the locker room I promise.
People will clown Jokic but Jamal literally played worse than college kids
Jamal was terrible but Jokic not attacking Gobert when he got 5 fouls is crazy. He should have been shooting every possession.
Bro was gassed. Should have sent Jonas in to start some trouble
He’s supposed to be the best in the world. It’s his team. Where he at?
Busy watching McDaniels and Terrence Shannon Jr shoot layups over him
After layup after layup after layup…
He’s there, but jamal was supposed to take a leap this year and just shot 24% in an eliminatiom game
So Murray is who everyone thought he was then
Who did everyone think he was?
an inconsistent chucker
Someone tell Murray he’s playing the Lakers otherwise he doesn’t show up
I swear I feel like all these games rigged cause so many teams bout to play games 6 and 7 after one of the teams being down in the series. Like no way Denver should have lost nor Lakers being up without Luka and AR. Just seems fishy to me with my tin foil hat
If you were going to rig a game why would you have most of Minnesota’s starters be injured?
