I think if this was always going to end with an elimination, here or against OKC, this series has been valuable for the guys, and KD being injured might have helped the guys out in terms of taking charge and being more confident. Because with KD, they just throw him the ball and expect him to do something.

It’s worth noting that this is essentially the same team that lost to GSW last season - Dillon, Jalen, FVV, Adams + Reed and I guess Okogie, DFS but they are not game changers imo. Without KD and those injured guys, this is not exactly an improvement but actually a worse team than last season right now

Not entirely - whoever put that offensive rebound back up with ~40 seconds left instead of sending it back out to the perimeter to kill another 14 seconds certainly didn’t get the memo.

They had 2 days of rest too and looked gassed from the jump it might be over
