Yeah the combination of Duren being super passive/magic passing the paint has totally erased the lob threat this series.

That premise is logical but if you watch my Pistons, he NEEDS to play hero ball sometimes.

We legit just go on long stretches where no one can get a bucket so he has to force shots since he’s our best chance at it.

I’d rather go down losing to Orlando in game 6 with him shooting 25+ shots than him being passive and other guys like Harris missing a lot of shots.

He’s very skilled, but I don’t think there is evidence that he has mental lapses. That seems like more of a narrative than a fact-based conclusion.

He’s tall for a PG which has its advantages - mainly that it’s easier for him to shoot over most opposing PG’s. The downside is that it’s harder for him to dribble around people, especially in tight spaces.

If you look at Magic Johnson it’s a similar situation. He was another tall PG, and he & Cade have nearly identical TO’s per game for their careers. Cade: 3.8. Magic: 3.9. If you look at shorter PG’s whether it is CP3, Nash, Stockton, etc, they all committed fewer than 3 TO’s per game.

I think the refs benefited the Pistons much more early on in the game, but in the end, it balanced out because Orlando got calls and made the big disparity up.

Can’t typically shoot 16-30 at the line and expect to win. Their poor FT shooting was the main reason they lost. Not the refs.
