Most 76ers fans have moved onto Maxey and VJ. Any flashes from Embiid (and way lesser extent PG) are a nice bonus. Embiid on the team is like your good friend who lives out of state dropping in for a quick visit while driving through your city. Fun weekend but isn’t really part of the day to day.

Kind of. He’ll be 32 entering next season. It’s clear by these highlights that he can still play at a high level. Any championship possibility within the next 5 years is going to be contingent on him playing like this. So we haven’t really given up on him, we’re just trying to tame our expectations…

Embiid is such a huge difference maker when he’s on the court. If he’s healthy and fit enough, I can see the Sixers having a shot at coming back. I’d love to see him take the Sixers on a run now that he’s back on the court.
