[Highlight] Nikola Jokic with a beautiful bounce pass to Christian Braun for the two-handed dunk, as Jaden McDaniels tries to contest him (with a replay).
Braun also points at McDaniels while hanging on the rim, receiving a technical foul.
basketball is soft as hell
So are a lot of the fans. It’s so sad seeing all the people in this thread who think the Nuggets shouldn’t celebrate for the rest of the series because the other team has injured players
And we have to ignore our own injuries
This the thing I don’t understand. Their two best defenders have been injured the whole series.
Not only best defenders but arguably the 3rd and 4th best players on the team after the season P-Wat had and how important AG is to the Jokic-Jamal two man game
Two best 4’s
Nuggets in 5 is all I ever heard from a Nuggets fan before this series began.
Who cares nugs in 7
Yeah as if we didn’t work with an injured roster this entire season and only got back to some semblance of full health in the past month lol give me a break
None worse than Thunder and Shai fans.
How am I supposed to explain to my children why that man pointed at the other man??? Disgusting act
please explain why thats not a tech
It’s for sure a tech but like a really awesome one
he pointed at someone? how fucking soft is that lmao
Please explain why it isn’t soft
Sticks and stones, mf
It being a tech is why it’s soft lmao
If Denver wins this series I need the photo of Braun pointing at McDaniels while hanging from the rim
If? Our team is dropping like flies. Denver should be truly embarrassed if they don’t come back
If Denver was healthy last 5 years they have 3 rings
Its part of the sport
Nah bro
You can’t “nah bro” to an MPJ Truther
I’m sorry but what?
Denver lost in the WCSF the past two years.
In 2024, their only injury was Murray being mildly limited. Everyone else was healthy. The team who beat them lost in the WCF, and that team lost in the Finals.
In 2025, they took OKC down to the wire, but there’s no guarantee they win game 7 with a healthy Gordon. And they’d still have to beat a Wolves team that was 4-0 against them that season + the Pacers.
They played the entire OKC series with MPJ having 1 arm and Russ with Broken bones in his hand after G1.
I have 0 doubt Jokic has an easier time with Gafford and Lively than with Gobert in 2024. Murray had a fucked leg and KCP was hurt
2021, before Murray’s ACL but after they got Gordon, they had 11 straight games of beating the shit out of good teams then Murray’s knee exploded. 2022 was no Murray and no MPJ
2023 they have no injuries and 16-4 dogwalk the league after coasting to the #1 seed in the west. I think they get at least one and probably 2 of those years if healthy
You do realize that their path to their only title was greatly aided by injuries, right?
Minnesota was down McDaniels and Naz, plus KAT was just coming back from a meniscus injury and had missed like 2 months.
Phoenix lost Chris Paul in game 2 and Ayton for game 6.
The Heat had Butler somewhat banged up, and Boston likely makes the finals if Tatum doesn’t get hurt in the first minute of game 7 of the ECF.
Like, if you’re going to point out a role player having broken bones that he could play through, you can’t ignore way more serious injuries elsewhere.
The suns were 0-2 when Chris Paul went out. They won the games AFTER HE LEFT.
Ayton LMAO
Ok now we’re talking about injuries on other teams? Minnesota got to play GSW with no Curry last year lol
Also the fact that Denver has never lost a series when healthy probably boosts my thoughts. Other teams that win titles (2022 GSW for instance) don’t even make the playoffs when one of their top 2-3 is hurt. Denver makes it and wins rounds down their big 3.
And will you see me saying “Minnesota would have had 2 titles if everyone were healthy”? Hell no. Because health is part of it.
Also the fact that Denver has never lost a series when healthy probably boosts my thoughts.
How many series have you even played healthy by your standards? Only the ones you win? Because citing health for 2024 is soft as hell. Every single rotation player played all 7 games. Murray was banged up, but he straight up played better in that series than he has in this one, lol.
Murray was really injured in 2024, see his performance in the olympics that year. His knee was fucked.
Murray was playing hurt, but he played every game and wasn’t excessively compromised.
He put up 21-4-6 on 40/32/92 shooting in the 2024 playoffs.
This year, while healthy, he’s averaging 27-5-6 on 37/27/97.
He’s arguably been worse this year, he’s just averaging like 6 more free throws per game to juice the points per game.
we’re missing our best player it’s surely relevant
Yea so again nothing about what I said conflicts with that. Yes injuries are part of the sport, and yes Denver should be embarrassed if they still lose after we lost Ant and Donte. I’m not sure why people are acting so dense about this.
And no they fucking wouldn’t lol
Well you wont have Donte for next year either and Ant is probably gone the year after. They will have to find a way
They likely win one of 21⁄22 if their 2nd and 3rd best players were playing and have a strong shout at 24 without Murray’s calf or 25 without MPJ’s shoulder or Gordon’s hammy.
They really forgot we took the eventual champs to game 7 on the decrepit remains of AG’s hamstring and MPJ’s shoulder
Playoffs have really reminded how many clutch shot MPJ took and made for the Nugs.
People forgot but I didnt. Lots of swinging moments
[deleted]
That’s kind of the issue. Minnesota used all their assets on Gobert and Dillingham(became Ayo).
Those are two good players for sure. But Rudy is 34 in June and supremely reliant on his athleticism. The team falls apart when he isnt playing. Randle is also 32 soon. Ant will be 26⁄27 with a play-in team that doesnt have much room to improve in 2 years, barring a miraculous health outcome from Rudy. None of their young players have showed star potential (or even high level starter potential).
DDV’s achilles has probably doomed them to a low seed next season as well. So 2 straight first round exits (or a play-in next year) then a season where the gang is all healthy but Rudy is 36? Feels like a situation that could end poorly imo
KAT was very very good and I dont think they should have let him go
Nuggets would have absolutely won last year if we had a full team. Gordon was playing while actually fully fucked, MPJ was on one shoulder and wrapped up like Tutankhamen, Jokic had a wrist injury he was playing through, leaving only CB and Murray as the healthy starters.
Keep dreaming man sounds like a fun alternate reality you live in
Thank you man
I’ll enjoy Ant in LA or NY in 2028 immensely. He’s gonna be fun in a real market
Says the guy with no flair. Loser mentality, not surprised with all the what ifs you’re throwing out
It should be pretty obvious who “MichaelPorterTruther” pulls for in this situation…
shh dont tell him, Im not sure he can figure it out
Goddamn nets fans out here goin crazy
He def had a denver flair until MPJ got sent to brooklyn purgatory 😭🤣
MPJ will retire with more rings than Harden
Would you like to bet if Ant is in Minny in 2030? You know as much as I do he’s gone. Too bad the injuries have lit two of your only years left on fire.
I mean the Wolves exposed some apparent issues in the Nuggets play, and it’s not exactly like Ant was carrying the Wolves. Denver was/will probably be favoured in all 3 games, but Minny still gets/got 3 chances to get one game, so it’s not a foregone conclusion
Two chances. Game 6 is next
Seriously impressed with how the wolves are playing. I think this goes to seven games. I have no idea who wins LOL
“It don’t matter if you win by an inch or mile. Winning is wining.” Injuries are part of the game, would Boston have won againist the knicks last year if Tatum didn’t get injured possibly. But as a Celtics fan I don’t feel knicks winning that series should have * on it. Same goes for the Raptor winning that year againist the warriors with Klay injured game 5 and Durant game 6. Winning is winning
Okay? I never said it wasn’t, and I didn’t say anything about an asterisk. We were dealt a crushing blow though, and Denver would indeed be choking massively not to take advantage. There would be nothing special about it.
I agree with you. We deserved to lose this series. This is a huge second chance for us and this series will basically be given to us. It’s important I think for the players and everyone else to realize that. I love my team but damn they were dead in the water for 3 games straight
yall would not have won if tatum didnt get injured because he got hurt in the last game in the last quarter when the knicks were up with a big lead lol
average nuggets fan. starts talking smack after all the starters are hurt 😭
Why everyone acting like Gordon being on one leg and Watson being injured doesn’t count?
Dude is purely a Harden fan, don’t take him serious.
Donte DiVincenzo lead the team in +/- both this series and all season. He is quite literally their glue guy.
Gordon is an appropriate analogy. So Donte/AG is a net neutral loss.
Peyton Watson to Ant? Lol. Lmao, even.
Healthy Gordon plays a bigger role than Donte.
Ok.
Donte > Watson. Ant > Gordon
Healthy Watson locks down Ant and everyone forgets who he is.
Weird flex but ok
not even fucking close lol. Y’all coming up with the cope so early god its gross
Bro their two starting guards including the best player on their team is out, there’s an enormous difference between Peyton Watson being out and Anthony Edwards being out
Okay but why don’t you compare Ant and Gordon? As much as Ant is better than Gordon, Gordon is like the second most important player on the Nugs. Don’t twist it to further your agenda.
Do you think comparing Aaron Gordon and Anthony Edwards makes this a winning argument?? Are we for real right now
Uhm like I said Ant is the better player, doesn’t mean Gordon isn’t a very vital piece for the Nuggets.
No one said he wasnt lol but frontrunning in the game immediately after their roster collapses and you start winning isn’t a flex
Who the fuck said anything about front running I’m just saying Nuggs have injuries too. Ant was playing like shit anyways, he wasn’t even the reason they were running away with the series.
At the very least, had that been the comparison you made, your earlier comment would look a lot less stupid
How do you think the nuggets would be doing if jokic and gordon were both out
Yea missing Ant is still also an enormous difference over Gordon. Like it’s not even comparable
The Nuggets have not being the dominant force ever since Gordon started getting plagued with injuries.
So just to confirm the argument ur making is Gordon is as important for the Ant correct? No one really understands what you are getting at.
The fact that Nuggets are missing two important pieces as well? Ant was playing like shit anyways he wasn’t the reason they were running away with the series.
Little known fact: basketball is a team sport and multiple people can be very important to their team.
What is the point you’re tying to make?
Nuggets can’t complain about their injuries because Ant hyperextended his knee after Gordon was already injured and missing games?
Or do you want people to say that Gordon+Pwat=Ant?
Or are you saying that donte’s injury doesn’t matter because he isn’t Ant?
Casual take
Homer take
Lmao projection right there. I didn’t have a take, I criticized yours.
When has this situation ever happened before😭😭😭bro is living in fan fiction dreams of his own
Denver I guess talked smack winning a title against Heat who were missing idk Pelle Larson or something? Lakers were missing idk Jarred Vanderbilt?
I mean, the Nuggets fan said “If we win”
It’s just an objectively cold picture in the context of Jaden playing villain, just like the picture of him laughing in Jokic’s face will be cold/legendary if the Timberwolves win.
To say that’s “talking smack”, is kind of soft tbh. It’s something a fan of either team can just observe
We have our superstar player out, are you acting dumb on purpose?
As the ever-wise McDaniels informed us all - Denver can’t defend, that’s our issue
So missing our best defenders is surely the biggest problem possible
avg nugget fan iq^
Username checks out
Yeah and a picture of Naz Reid and Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo all lying on the ground injured.
I am having strong flashbacks of steph Curry only playing 12 minutes in the 2nd round last year, did you feel the same way then
I don’t remember the Warriors busting the Wolves ass in the first 5 games. I think Minnesota closed it out quickly as they were expected to.
Warriors were +10 with steph on the court in the first 12 minutes. Still won the game after he went out. Then had more injuries after and gave in.
Ok Steph won the 1st quarter in game 1 for the Warriors. Also, the Warriors got stomped the next 4 games and lost the series 4-1. I don’t think saying that because the Warriors won the 12 minutes Curry played in that series the Warriors would have won the series if he was healthy. Wolves in 6 most likely.
They destroyed them with steph healthy lol what are you talking about
Moody was out and Jimmy was playing through a bruised ass.
I will weep for them.
Lmao nobody is moved by pussy ass Braun lol
I bet you don’t like Jokic either…
Why? Pretty big asterisk if Denver comes back
I don’t give a fuck. Should they lose instead because of some 76ers fan asterisk?
Why are you so insecure?
I don’t think it’s insecure to respond to someone saying your team’s victory will have an asterisk. Pretty reasonable response, imo.
No flair, but I’m the insecure one
Yes, you objectively are.
You gotta learn what the words insecure and objectively mean.
go home bro, you embarrassing yourself. you were down 3-1 to a team without 3 of their starters
They had all their starters for every quarter until Q2 of game 4
Donte and ANT. Who’s the third starter?
Which Denver Nugget do you think you’re conversing with?
Nobody here is on any team
You are objectively insure. I’m sorry you hate facts.
Insure.
Yes. Both insure and insecure. Why are you so upset?
Should Raptor title have a big asterisk too? With warriors losing Klay and Durant back to back games
Pretty sure the raptors were already winning the series?
Bro’s seen his team win a ring and yet wants to celebrate beating a severely short-handed opponent. Strange behaviour ngl.
I can’t like my players now because of injuries?
They talked shit as they pleased, but now they demand care and cuddles.
Anything less than winning this series is a huge chokejob lol thats the point people are making dummy. The fact that y’all are 3-1 in the first place getting blown the fuck out by rudy gobert is an embarrassment. U have any self awareness at all?
Injuries are part of the sport
oh my god cry more dog
You’re a Utah fan. Shouldn’t even be on here this time of year.
Christian Braun gearing up for. 1-3, 2 pt, 2 reb, 0 assist stat line in a 15 pt loss in game 6 before the Nuggets beg the rest of the league to trade for his albatross contract
jaden didn’t contest and braun had 9 points tonight but get your victories where you can I guess
Is Jaden dogwater on D?
Many people are asking
love the english he put on that pass.
Wolves fans complaining about this fr? McDaniels was talking during THIS game but CB can’t return it 5 minutes later?
See it’s aura when McDaniels does it but you’re not allowed to do anything back
CAN WE STOP WITH THE TAUNTING TECH SHIT. My god its just so fucking soft, it makes no sense. Players talk shit to eachother as theyre playing all the time, but you score a basket and point at someone and its a tech.
Same shit happened with the Castle v. Deni situation, it was so weak. People need to go look at the full context of that play. Deni made like 3 fouls against Castle on defence and then he scored. Like yeah he’s gonna give some attitude back and hand over the ball. It’s only as offensive as you make it so; really what are we talking about - Deni decided to get offended so the refs reacted like he got shot.
The refs just gave both an offsetting tech and ruled that he was fouled so he still got his ft, you are making it into a bigger deal than it was. The entire game was extremely physical and the refs did all they could not to blow the whistle all 48 minutes. Deni fouled extremely hard so they ruled a foul, castle got mad at that so he pushed the ball into his chest and deni shoved him, both should’ve gotten a tech and they did. I honestly dont get why its such an issue.
If anything it would be better if players in general were less inclined to fight, like in the nfl you can shove someone after the play if they taunted you and they’d just go back to their side of the line , not every taunt and shove needs to turn into a fight which then forces the refs to give techs
you are making it into a bigger deal than it was
No, I’m saying that Deni made it bigger deal than it was. He fouled Castle 3 times before he scored and then a cheeky handoff made Deni get all upset. We’ve seen dozens of times people get dunked on, and they instantly get up and inbound, Deni could have done the same but decided to make a bigger deal out of it.
castle got mad at that so he pushed the ball into his chest
People were acting like Castle slammed the ball against his chest. Dude handed off the ball with attitude - it’s not like he threw it at him. If Deni takes it personally that’s on him lmao
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdWBfLw9aaw
not every taunt and shove needs to turn into a fight which then forces the refs to give techs
Right, exactly. A taunt after you foul? How’s that on Castle? And two shoves isn’t a fight, fists were never about to be thrown at all, lets be real. The refereeing in NBA is weird.
Point being, if Deni didn’t react, the refs wouldn’t have done anything but because Castle got under his skin, both got techs. Castle actually got fouled, Deni got his feelings hurt. These two things aren’t the same thing.
Deni a bitch
They let the first one go
Okay is his last name pronounced like Brown or like Brawn? I feel like I’ve heard it both ways
It’s pronounced “brown”. Lots of the broadcasters mispronounce still
Okay thats what I thought. Thanks for clearing it up
Brown
It’s pronounced “Brown.” Genuinely not joking. It’s a meme as well but it’s pronounced like the color Brown.
Brain
Brian
Brawn
Christian Braun is the biggest Jokic parasite there is
If you were given the opportunity to be a jokic parasite and didn’t take it, shame on you. Dude won championships last year in high school, only year in college, and first year in NBA.
Whatever else he is, he’s a winner.
Where’d yall go?
vs the hospital wolves chill bruh
Just like the Thunder last year against the Nuggets with one-legged Gordon and one-armed Porter?
Also just like the wolves last year vs warriors?
Yeah we closed that shit out in a hurry like we were expected to.
Don’t forget one handed Westbrook, and Flu Murray
It’s feisty in this bitch and in here for it lol
Exactly. Thunder are lucky their first ring happened because Denver was injured as hell. But that’s the sport
I still think Twolves might win, and injuries are unfortunate, but Twolves still play their heart out even if it’s the “hospital Wolves”
Disrespectful to the Twolves imo.
Like how they beat the hospital nuggets in game 2,3,4 ?
I mean it seemed like he got away with the point on the rim. But the second point got him T’d up. He got point greedy.
Anyone in the comment section complaining about this is being a damn hypocrite! As much as people have been celebrating Jaden McDaniels and hyping him up as God almighty,
to not expect a team and some of those players on that team to get back at him after the he has been calling them out doing little dirty stuff is just being delusional and being biased.
McDaniels been writing checks Ants knee can’t cash.
“Ant gone, let me start front running, now”
He is. Genuinely can’t do anything besides score transition buckets, and he has even struggled with that this series
At least we ain’t paying him a bunch of money while his replacement also needs to get paid
You know Jadens keeping receipts. The pettys gonna reach another level if Minnisota pulls this off.
The funniest part is they’re still going to lose the series
I’ve never seen a fan base more butthurt over the 4th best player on an opposing team.
Then that fanbase goes on to go crazy over a win against a team without their best player at home
O my God a fanbase celebrated a win in the playoffs. O my God. O fuck. Jesus fucking Christ.
Ur getting 30 pieced by Jaden in game 6 anyway so i guess it doesn’t really matter
O fuck, o shit, I like my team and they win o my God. I can’t even how could I.
Yeah think you need to chill on the vyvanse my guy, ill be waiting here for your reaction to game 6 😊
O my God I won’t even be here.
Brigading is definitely a good look
It’s an elimination game. Why wouldn’t they go crazy after a win?
After that 3 game stretch, we’ll take anything man
weak
you mad?
LMAO bro acting like he doing something against the wolves without their starting backcourt
You sound really mad. You mad?
Y’all nuggies fans are funny LMAO don’t project you being mad at me. I know you can’t sleep with what McDaniels said about your softy team 🤣
Nugs are down Watson and Gordon as well genius
That’s fair, but we can pretend Gordon and Watson is the same as Ant and Donte. Nuggets have the health advantage
Why do I keep hearing this? No team in the league is taking Dante over Watson.
Yeah okay? I was saying the combination. Ant + Donte >> Gordon + Watson. The nuggets also have the luxury of being able to play Braun, while we have to put the corpse of Mike Conley and TSJr., both of which didn’t play much all season, to make up our backcourt minutes. Like I said, you have the health advantage
Your counter is Braun who all I’m reading about is how awful he is and that his contract has doomed the Nuggets?
This brother really stunting on a team down 3 key players
You serious? The fuck you want them to do, dunk the ball and apologize?
Yes… all nuggets players should bow to McDonicic and beg for his forgiveness
It’s been chippy the whole series don’t get soft now
I mean McDaniels has been talking so much trash that he’s going to get some back in return
It’s not about the Wolves as a team it’s about him specifically
Should he just stay emotionless instead?
Stunting on a guy who has been talking about of shit, this is usually what happens in basketball games. Players stunt on each other.
As if the Nuggets aren’t missing Gordon and Watson
Funny how the narratives change here game by game.
Minnesota showed they wanted this attitude all series, stop being soft
They just hate eachother thats all
But if he wasn’t what would you say? Come on man
