Neither team got shafted much more than the other. It was just a pretty chippy final 2 minutes, refs mostly seemed to let them play. Obviously biased based on the result but I don’t mind it.

Eh I can see both going either way. Shead definitely embellished the Harden push, an offensive foul by the book but in a one possession playoff game with 1:08 left to go? I’m fine letting them play.

I agree the 8 second probably should have been called a foul. Only way I can see it is that possession started at 48.8 and contact at 41.0, basically 8 seconds elapsed since contact, the ref could have judged 8 seconds came before the contact.

I’d rather watch physical basketball than a free throw fest and I’m sure many others would agree. There was a half of basketball earlier this year that took like an hour and a half or close to two hours because of all of the free throws. That same game was so much better in the second half when they were letting them play.

Especially when the team they are going against is playing without it’s starting PG hell they are going long stretches playing without a PG even on the floor. That PG is also the teams best shooter and the Raptors have a huge gap when it comes to offensive rating with Quickly and without him. Like don’t complain about the refs when you could have shot better from the FT line and won the game on that alone. Or how about tell Harden not to turn it over 7x. Nah instead lets act like the Cavs should have shot more FT even though almost 50% of their shots came behind the arc. Compared to the Raptors who had like 70% of their attempts be inside the arc. So no shit the Raptors should be getting to the line more when they are the team attacking the paint at a much higher rate.
