What makes Jayson Tatum so special is the amount of ways he can beat you.

Hes going to go on a heater and score from anywhere on anyone, or hes going to get doubled and find the open man, or hes going to suffocate your best players defensively. Some nights hes doing all three of these things and more.

Jayson Tatum is like a hydra, you cut one head off, another will grow. If hes having a bad night in any sector of his game, he will make sure he plays at an All-NBA level at all the others.

“We Want Boston” chants in Philly during a 32 point blowout is diabolical.

Top to bottom, every player regardless of who is available knows their roles & have a willingness to step up. Fantastic system & work from an organisational standpoint.

Tatum essentially getting to figure it out on the fly & not be a detriment to the team is very commendable too.

It’s still fuck Boston but it’s from a place of respect with this iteration of the Celtics.

76ers really thought that having Embiid back makes them stronger when in reality, he cripples their offense. Their strength comes from Maxey’s and Edgecombe’s speed. Embiid slows them down to a crawl. They tried to have a guy return from injury take over 20 shots in 34 minutes in his first game back.

I don’t think a franchise has ever tormented an All-NBA player more than the Celtics have done to Joel Embiid throughout his career

With Embiid on the floor, the game becomes much slower for the Sixers - which favors Boston heavily. Also, making Embiid the first option literally killed the hopes of Sixers winning.

Shoutout to Walsh for clamping Maxey in some possessions.

So I decided to watch the game along with the Sixers Sub. With the way the game went it was so, so entertaining. Losing is frustrating in a high leverage game so I can understand that bringing out some of the uglier comments. Some observations:

• Fire nick Nurse seemed to be a universally shared sentiment. Firing Morey and new ownership weren’t far behind.

• the game thread seemed to have a pretty even mix of trade Maxey/Embiid/Edgecomb.

• More surprising was the lack of criticism for PG and Oubre. Especially considering how much PG makes.

• if they didn’t already hate PP, they Sixers fans REALLY hate Pritchard after tonight (big surprise) lol

• Sixers fans had a lot to say about the appearance of Celtics players. That’s cool I guess I’d rather have an ugly player that can ball, than some pretty boy that can’t. Some one pass the info along to Morey to draft only good looking players.

• some of them got kinda nasty with their opinions on appearances. it’s to be expected but damn.

• there’s several Sixers fans that really hate the style of BB the Celtics play. I can understand, but winning feels good too. Y’all should try it out.

• a few comments implying, out right hoping for a Celtic player to be injured intentionally were there, but they got downvotes (hopefully by Sixers fans and not other Celtics fans)

• “Celtics still playing their starters? Sure would be a shame if something bad happened”

• “Cmon Tatum do a negative step”

• “Someone needs to take out Tatum. Easily one of the most dirty players in the league”

• a few comments that I thought were pretty funny

• “I was there when the 76ers got cooked by a quirked up 5’ 11 white boy”

• “Absolutely comical that Pritchard is doing this. Getting clapped by a leprechaun”

• Re Tatum’s Offensive Foul On Oubre : “I mean, it was only his third push off of the possession. You can understand why he can’t believe he was whistled for it.”

• I think this was about Garza “ Great even the underbite blockhead is hitting 3s”

• The same Sixers fan asking for someone to “take out Tatum” is also a giant fucking snowflake. After Boston fans started chanting “We want Boston”, they had this to say: “Should we do something like what the clippers do with their fans? The fact we had Celtics fans mocking our boys with chants shouldn’t be allowed. I hope they get banned”

That, my friends, is a sorry-ass franchise

Sorry but it felt like Embiid coming back made it worse.

This is fucked up that the Celtics keep getting guys like Pritchard just falling into their laps it feels like.

They’re the new Spurs, making the most of their resources while being led by stars with no ego.

Glad Embiid was able to get healthy enough to ruin the fun basketball Philly was playing and remind everybody that he’s still the biggest career loser to ever touch the MVP award. The league is a better place when he’s out there getting embarrassed on the court instead of in street clothes.

Hopefully Embiid stays healthy between now and the next game. Would be a big loss for us if he couldn’t play

I’ve never seen a team so clearly needing to blow it up and I watched every Bulls game in the last 7 years.

If you told me we had a half where both Jays couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn, I would’ve thought “oh no, we’re gonna be 2-2 like everyone else” but nope, the bench, especially Pritchard, really came through today, love these guys.

Been getting crushed on the glass entire series and boy was I wrong about them being 1 Joel away from evening up the possessions game.

The Sixers losing to the Celtics is a spring tradition at this point.

CHarles Barkley advised the Celtics to essentially ignore Joel Embiid since he won’t get going. I thought he was tripping. Turns out he was right.

This is not a rivalry.

Not to be a downer, but I don’t think Embiid is saving the Sixers season guys.
