Because the Celtics have a clearly defined culture of accountability where their players absolutely have to hustle for every rebound/loose ball, play good defense, and shoot 3s. Otherwise they won’t play you or sign you.
We’ve even shared some of that with ya’ll! I’ve loved watching Smart make the impact he has so far in the playoffs. Smart was my favorite player for a lot of years, he can just be such a huge x-factor in important games. It won’t show up in the box score, but people who actually watch games know that Smart is a winning player. He embodied our culture from day 1 and even being on another team, he still does.

It also helps that their stars play hard and play good defense. Sets the tone for the rest of the roster.

That was so dumb. I get that Clark is “better” relative to other WNBA players, but Pritchard would absolutely destroy Caitlin Clark in a game of 1-on-1. It’s not an insult to be compared to someone who is a better basketball player than you are.

I’m really glad Joe is giving him solid minutes I feel like in this matchup Pritchard is more valuable than Hauser in the starting rotation. I love both but Pritchard has hustle is super efficient and makes winning plays, definitely one of my favourite players.
