If I’m an NBA GM, I’d be telling the Spurs to name their price for Stephon Castle and wouldn’t blink. I know it sounds hyperbolic now, but dude has that “all time elite” way of controlling the space around him already. It’s crazy watching a player so young be able to put defenders on his hip and guide them around like that, and his integration with the 2nd unit is crazy, maybe even better than the starters. Just as importantly, his defensive effort and hustle is already soo underrated.

Guarantee that dude is going to be a max contract player in a couple of years.

GG to Blazers, it’s always frustrating to play against the team with so much physicality and honestly you’re gonna be a great team in years to come. I think that kinda built that lead on the house of cards cuz they made at least 3-4 “are you kidding me” shots in the first half. However, that 19 point lead was built way too early for the Spurs not to at least make the game competitive

From the Spurs’ side of things, I think they got a bit complacent at the very beginning cuz they thought that just Wemby being present was gonna be enough. However, I really like how quickly they got back into the game which is amazing considering how young of a team they have

Ultimately, Portland currently doesn’t have the consistency on offense to take more than a game or two, but they certainly have a bright future ahead of them. I really hope that we’re gonna close them out ahead of our crowd in the next game to keep some freshness for the proceeding round(s)
