[Highlight] Collin Murray-Boyles plays disciplined defense and forces the Mitchell miss and foul hunting attempt
Foul baiting down 3 isn’t it
Mitchell is the weirdest playoff performer
He puts up a ton of points but it feels like he can never get over the line when it matters
Been saying for years that Mitchell is not the playoffs performer everyone thinks he is. He puts up great numbers but plays losing basketball
He lit up the celtics a year or two ago but they lost every game that he went off in lol
Empty stats
Come on man. He obviously was poor today but lets not do this after every bad performance from a star
He feels like a classic “good but never good enough” playoff performer
He doesn’t pass the ball in the playoffs. If I remember correctly, in all 5 games in Pacers-Cavs last year the Cavs passed the ball less times than any game in the regular season.
Man idk he’s had some great performances against the Cs. I do not like playing against this guy.
It really feels like he needs to be the number 2 option to have a playoff success
Good hearted dood, but what is he doing here? You have TEN seconds to get a good shot off, or pass to someone else who can. A good shot to tie the game, not whatever this is. What is ya doing here Spida???
just shoot the shot
Product of the aau system I blame his upbringing
i think you should blame the NBA refs rewarding things like that before anything
Colin Cowherd burner?
The man has been in the NBA 9 years when are we going to start looking at the NBA for this continuing
You miss some you make some. Just like Jalen Brunson. Spida will bounce back #JustWatch
muscle memory
The Harden special
Wild to me that players now go with this option. They care more about playing the refs than just hitting a good shot.
CMB’s dodge was perfect. Looked like fuckin’ Neo out there.
True but refs incorrectly call that so often its hard to blame players for trying it to see if the refs will reward them again.
You would think after playing against him for 4 games now Mitchell would have figured out that CMB is playing well above the average rookie especially on defense.
Have you watched Sengun play? He gotta be the worst in the league
Mitchell is overrated his Stans are aau babies
Embarassing foulbait attempt
Mitchell has been falling down and looking for a foul call the entire 4th quarter. Really happy that the ref didn’t fall for this nonsense
[deleted]
he has a decent whistle
27-19 whistle benefit for Toronto. Y’all can’t win without the sixth man and his whistle
Comparing just free throw attempts is dumb lmao
So is the inability to read.
That’s fouls, not FT attempts.
It doesn’t change my argument. Do you think that in a perfectly reffed game the amount of fouls would be the same?
If anything it makes it worse, given the Cavs were fouling intentionally at the end since they were losing lmao.
bro did you watch the game we r way more aggressive ofc we gonna get more calls
Y’all still playing with a whole front court? That’s cute. We used to do that, but now we have this 6’7 rookie who just does whatever.
Or Donovan Mitchell’s just not that guy…
Why you acting like yall didn’t foul like four times at the end because you guys were down..?
fouls called means nothing.
CMB is so good. He’s doing all of this as a rookie with an injured thumb.
And shoulder ‼️
Dude plays with a level of poise and physicality that most rookies don’t possess.
CMB has genuinely become one of my favorite players in the league over these 4 games. What a absolute dawg, plays so damn hard every possession.
He might die before this season ends
He can legit guard all 5 positions and he’s not even 100% healthy.
Way too much time left for that to be the shot
I said the same thing. Shot it like he had 1.5 sec left instead of 15
Embarrassing he just had zero confidence in actually making the shot so just goes for some weak ass foul bait
Didn’t even need 3 you can get 2, foul and then timeout. Low iq
Bro thought he was prime Harden
Harden probably had the hardest facepalm seeing Mitchell trying his craft
“not like that”
turns out he’s playoff Harden
36 year old harden still outplayed prime Mitchell. Embarrassing
Instead of looking for a good shot he rather go for the foulbait, hate it
You would not know that CMB was a rookie by how poised he’s playing in these playoffs
Dominating Allen and Mobley on the inside
Those two guys turn into absolute pushovers in the playoffs.
Mitchell is the same guy that had everyone convinced you couldnt win with Rudy in the playoffs. This dude has played with like 6 different all-stars/All NBA guys during his career and can’t do anything.
he averaged 35 against the clippers in the WCSF while Gobert got picked apart on defense, also averaged 36 in a loss to denver, just has bad luck in the playoffs
Gobert had to cover up for the absolute swiss cheese defense than Mitchell played.
Mitchell has played with Mobley, Allen, Gobert, Harden, Garland, and Conley all players who made All star teams, All NBA teams and won DPOYs all while playing alongside him. At some point its his fault. He plays ball hog style, tunnel-visions into only his own scoring and does not play defense.
Mitchell would thrive if the NBA adopted a rule like the DH in baseball. Only having to play offense, gets to be replaced by someone competent on defense like a rolling NHL shift change.
Gobert wasn’t getting picked apart, he was having to play defense for the entire team because everyone kept getting blown bye or losing their man(this is including Mitchell)
That team lost because Gobert was the only plus defender, you’re mad that Gobert wasnt guarding everyone everywhere??
Yeah why can’t he play defense like Barnes smh.
no, but i would expect that if he was some insane playoff defender in that series then a clippers team without their superstar wouldn’t put up 130+ consistently against him
Good offense beats good defense sometimes. Rudy is still an elite defender after that series and no one on that Clippers team or anyone else has done anything like that after.
It turns out that 4 guys being cones on defense funneling every drive into one player doesn’t work well
Gobert was asked to guard all 5 guys at once basically. That jazz roster had multiple people that could not guard anyone and just stood there.
Putting the blame on Rudy when he had to play with four pylons on defense is crazy work
Rudy Gobert is currently dismantling the Denver Nuggets against the guy he was traded away to make room for & is doing a spectacular job against him while also being tasked with Jamal duty at times.
Gobert has rarely been the problem & it’s no surprise they’ve made deep runs in Minnesota since he’s gotten there & they have other versatile defenders.
Rudy quite literally was asked to be EVERYTHING in Utah.
CMB Barking at Mitchell while he cleans himself up off the ground 😤
The new Draymond
Foul-baiting on final shot to tie is wild.
He’s so good already
if u gonna foul bait at least let harden do it
Mitchell more concerned with drawing a foul than taking a good shot.
it’s the right no call but honestly i was surprised the refs didn’t call a foul there. that’s the playoffs i guess, i feel like this exact shot would be called a foul during the regular season, especially when it’s an all star vs a rookie
He landed and was leaning back like 0.4 seconds before contact was made
CMB Sso good man
Why would you do that…
This is why nba awards based on the regular season don’t tell the whole story. This kid won’t make all nba rookie first team, and he’s absolutely incredible. He has a young kawhi vibe.
This is what the modern NBA is just no attempt whatsoever to make the shot just trying to get free throws
He created space on the step back too idk why he didn’t just take the shot
This would’ve been a foul on you know who
CMB wise beyond his years.
Going to be a really special player for a long time.
Why tf do the Raptors get a local broadcast? No fair
Separate Canadian media deal. Our local broadcast has national broadcast rights.
Long story short it’s Raptors ownership and Canadian TV rights
Best rookie of the class (in my heart)
playoff mitchell has arrived
Cmb and barnes going to terrorize the east for years to come
Bro wants to be lebron so badly
Mitchell is obsessed with foul baiting
Rookie out there clamping 1-5, getting every board, wow
Wait, I thought regional sports would no longer cover the first round of the playoffs? Does the raptors have a different contract?
Harden should’ve taken it
eh he got him to bite on the fake that was just well done to control his body and not foul into him
disgusting play
come on give the ball to the man whos perfected that
He almost killed that guy in the black hoodie
This what happens when players always looking for a call…bet if he had tried to get a clean shot off he’d have made it.
Play of the game imo.
Do nba players know when a guy bites on a pump fake it’s a lot easier to get an open shot?
It does work jumping into the opposing player… sometimes.
CMB is the goat yada yada yada did you see Mitchell truck that dude lmao
love this guy, didn’t get baiting into the foulbait attempt my Mitchell when he realized he had nothing for CMB
CMB has been amazing these playoffs! It’s also wild that he had to play limbo cause offensive calls are given out like candy on halloween.
Sadly in the regular season that’s a shooting foul. Wish the league would not call this in the reg season or playoffs.
So nice when refs don’t call this. It’s embarrassing that they ever do.
Love it
Guys are really foul baiting down 3 with 10 seconds left? This isn’t a sport anymore..
Why shoot a three?
Because he’s down 3?
quick 2 and a try to trap would have been fine.
Also the Raptors aren’t the best FT shooting team in the world. They’d probably miss if you did foul after hitting a 2.
You get to try and be the hero.
I don’t know about disciplined. That was a pretty clear foul.
Which part do you think is a foul? There wasn’t a foul anywhere in that video lol
Then say where clown
On the shooter for jumping into a defender who stayed in his own space?
