Stephon Castle single handily saving the 2024 Draft Class in the playoffs.
Some people were calling him the worst ever ROTY last year. Crazy
I was curious and so checked the Ringer Top 100 players right now, and they have a nice ROTY section starting with KAT at 29, Castle at 30, Paolo at 31 and Lamelo at 32. Of course their list fluctuates a lot, but it’s a great point to reach at the end of your second every regular season. (Still significantly worse than the previous ROTY though. :P)

Essentially, I agree with the both comment. Castle sees more games and minutes at the moment. But harper will only get more time.

in complete honesty i’ve only recently started watching full games because playoffs and looking back its really striking how much it seems this sub never watches games. So many casuals here just watching highlight replays + bandwagoning even during the playoffs.
Going into the next season idk if I’ll even watch replays, just look at end scores and move on so I don’t get on media hype. Watch a few games over the weekends when I have time idk

I think the only way to cement it as real is to see them do it after the off-season. Makes it seem more real and less of a hot streak

This Spurs team is deep. Too many guards who can all dribble and create their own shot. Fox, Harper, and Castle are all top tier guards.

Tbh I don’t blame ‘em. Castle was, and still is not a good shooter, and Shepard was (at least was projected to be) a great shooter. For a team with amen, and Sengun, that would have been spacing hell…

Sheppard “the better shooter” was 6⁄21, 4⁄13 3pt, 1⁄2 FT.
The irony is that Castle is statistically still a better shooter than Amen and Sengun. So in theory, they actually could have benefitted from his shooting even if it’s not league average yet lol
