[Highlight] Derrick White with a huge offensive rebound, and Jayson Tatum swishes the clutch 3 over Adem Bona, putting the Celtics up 6, with 25.3 seconds remaining in regulation (with a replay)
Doing this during a season where nobody expected him to even be healthy is cold af
For real. That shot was a confidence boost. It was him realizing he should be taking those shots. Even if he tore his Achilles a year ago. Which is fucking wild to say.
He’s got a chance to really cement himself among the greats this year, good chance we look back on that shot as a capital-m Moment
Top fye playoff 3… and its not 5 or 4
[deleted]
Top 35? Idk lol
I’m pretty sure he knew this before hand as the 8 year star of the team
Go back and re read the comment but slowly this time, and you may actually get it.
I get it, its just stupid. Tatum is a multiple time all NBA and nba champ, not a protagonist in a Disney Channel original movie
If i was a multiple time all nba and nba champ who just hit a dagger 3 in a playoff game after rupturing an achilles less than a yr ago, I would question if i am a protagonist in a disney movie tbh
Filthy shot, I’m happy for him
Andre Drummond can’t win with these cats
Taking his talents to Sacramento 😤
Poor 300 lb Drummond playing through contact. Jayson never had to face such adversity!
WHAT.
“How do you do!?!”
Good now, how do you do, my good sir?
THE RAIN IN SPAIN STAYS MAINLY ON THE TATUM
Idk what this means but yes
r/unexpectedmyfairlady
I love Collins sm man that’s such a funny call
It would have been funnier if he didn’t make the exact same call earlier in the game.
WHAT!
OKAY!
Eric Collisn forgot the Celtics go 2 for 1
This guy is incredible. I am almost more impressed by his confidence to be the caliber of player he is after the injury than I am his recovery.
Yeah the silver lining to that injury is that I think it gave him an edge he didn’t have before. He’s way more confident now. I like it.
Yeah they won the chip & after the injury he’s just glad to be back playing sportsball, and I think that combo has chilled him out quite a bit.
Hopefully it continues and leads to a deep run
hearing people say he was done, say he’d never be top 5 again, say his mvp/ring chances were over, say they should trade the whole team because his injury ended them
and then the other side - knowing that the worst could happen and he could make it through, he’d have another chance, he’d still be him
Jeremy Lin summed it up well.
“Honestly, I think we should study how he’s been recovering from this injury and his mindset coming back,” Lin said.
Mazzulla instantly telling him to chill.
Mazulla needs to chill. The shot was big time.
I want Tatum to show that emotion but it’s absolutely the coaches job to say the game isn’t over. He gave Tatum plenty of support once it was over I’m sure
What a shot sheesh
That mf cold.
That was as much of a “fuck you” 3 as I’ve seen him take.
He owns the sixers, even now
Corny shit 🤣
Cry about it
Corny has to be the most overused word now, how is this corny lol
When losers can’t find anything negative to criticize something/someone about they call corny now.
It’s like when people use “gay” as a default slur back in middle school
flair up dork
Don’t talk about your father like that
Flair up
U need to admit it. Game 7 and he put 51 on your team before. He does it again and again.
We’re calling facts corny now?
Im a mutual he did drop 50 in game 7 against the sixers
Boy that ass chapped frfr
Thank you for posting a real highlight clip
Celtics highlight on /r/nba ? Believe it or not, straight to jail
Had to scroll through 11 Lakers posts to find it (not even exaggerating, I counted)
Lakers Lakers Lakers Lakers Lakers lebron lebron lebron , than maybe we got another game highlight.
it’s kind of crazy a bronny clips gets 15k upvotes and this gets 1.5k lmao. This sub is a joke.
Oh whaat, collins does playoff games now?
Yeah I had to look it up earlier lol, him and Dell Curry are on Prime
They were terrible tonight
They were literally just yapping and bumbling names all night. What was that?
I’m normally a huge Eric Collins fan, but man the difference in announcing for sixers plays vs. Celtics plays was insane
“a rare rebound by Hauser” 🙄
As a neutral I felt he was neutrally dogshit, definitely roasted Vooch a little hard at the end. Was jizzing in his pants for the big Celts shots at the end of the
Idk they didnt have any reactions all game stronger than whenever Drummond made a shot
Every single play was being commentated like it was the best play ever being made by the best player ever. Some of the calls were so overdramatic it was nuts. My wife was barely paying attention and picked up on it.
Thought we were done with this now that Doris is gone sighs
Is this what fans need to get through a game when the team sucks forever?
Jesus Christ, let the game breathe a bit. You don’t need to lose your shit when PG hits a a jumper 7 minutes into the first quarter. It was too much, I had to watch the game on mute.
We somehow got stuck with terrible refs, terrible announcers and a terribly streaming option.
I’ve read thousands of negative comments on commentators here over the years, never cared enough to jump in. They were so so bad tonight. The worst I’ve ever listened to during a game. Wtf was that.
Mentioning the Statue of Liberty with 2 teams from cities that have nothing to do with it 🙄
He was awful. Absolutely terrible all game. Arguably the worst combo I e heard
Sometimes it seemed like Vucevic was doing everything he could to lose them the game
I thought he was decent tonight.
Yeah, unfortunately he looked pretty terrible in the final few minutes, but it seemed like this was one of his best games with us until then tbh.
His job is to be 75% of Al Horford. I would say he’s doing it on the offensive end at least. The other end… not so much
He’s so fucking bad x4
Somebody needs to explain to me why Joe refuses to play Garza.
Garza feels unplayable against Maxey and VJ to me tbh, hes not fast enough to defend either in PnR. At least Vooch can be big-ish in front of the rim (I dont love Vooch either lol)
Queta needs to stop getting in foul trouble.
That’s the long and short of it. I’d almost rather he played soft because he’s so much more athletic than our other bigs just staying with his man and then half assing the contest would be an improvement
Him and Bona were having a contest.
This was one of his best games as a Celtic. He’s simply not found a good rhythm on this team
“I ain’t coming back to be no role player, Doc.”
MAMA THERE GOES THAT MAN!!!
As fun as he is for highlights I’m so glad Collin’s isn’t our play by play. I was all set with him by the end of the game lol
He’s perfect for the hornets just having fun they’ve needed a high energy guy
I’ve seen this before
So have the 76ers
These announcers are awful.
No really
they’re not great
Tatum is so back. This team shouldn’t be here this year I still can’t comprehend
Jaylen kept the game going earlier in the 4th, then Tatum takeover to finish…what a team
JAYSON TATUM HOW DO YOU DOOO
HES GOT GET AWAY FROM THE COPS SPEED
The offensive board is the most D White winning play that he does all the damn time.
This has less upvotes and views than the Denzel valentine post
What, no confetti?
S/O Lil’ Jon on the commentary
Made the right play all game then just said fuck it and took over in the clutch
Jesus Christ
Hilarious call
He’s returning to form 🥲
Him!
Pretty quiet in here. Wonder where everyone is tn? Oh yeah, that’s right. JT FOR THREEEEEEE…..
Papa White
Did Josh Harris sit with Lutnick courtside in Philly too?
Wait hol up, this is a great call, “WHAT?!?!”
he’s only 19 🥹🥹
The commentator’s “WHAT” gave me WWE vibes lol
I can’t even be upset lol
Tatum is Sixers owner
Kobe did it.
They needed all this to beat us in the last minute without Embiid.
If I was a Celtics fan I would take no solace in this win. They should be stomping us the way we shot and with our backup centers.
Yeah the Celtics have never beaten Embiid in the playoffs before 😂
Can’t compete with a franchise that looks at money as no object.
6ers have a higher salary rn btw
They literally traded two of their starters from last year to get under the luxury tax
pick any other season and this comment might a hold a little weight 😂
Is this a joke?
Sixers have the 7th highest payroll, Celtics have the 15th.
Just say you don’t know ball
You guys gave the corpse of Paul George a quarter of a billion dollars
That’s true and, as a matter of fact, you are not competing with the Lakers.
You’d also lose to them.
