[Injury] The play where Kevin Durant twisted his ankle
Yea, that’ll do it
Looks like he was about to jump off that foot too in case that shot bounced out, meaning all his weight/force were on it.
Big ass clod hoppers man
I worked at a Nike store and we had these graphics on the floor with the athlete’s foot size.
KD’s was just cartoonish. Size 18s
Is that what he is? My freshman year of HS, my friend and teammate wore 18s…except he was 6’2. I used to clownshoe my way around in them before practice. I wear 12⁄13, and I’m 6’3.
Jordan wore a 12 at 6’6”. I think that was one of his under discussed special characteristics that helped him navigate crowds in the lane and play tight to the baseline
Michael Jordan was perfectly designed to excel at basketball.
I’m a 15 at 6’2” lol finding shoes sucks
Man I’m a size 14 and I’m always shocked how little you can find for fucking BASKET BALL SHOES sometimes
I’m a 13⁄14 at 5’11”. Not saying that’s harder, just that my feet look stupid. 😂
Shoes curled up in front like a mfr
I’m a 13⁄14 depending on the brand and I’m the same height as you. I can’t fathom being five sizes bigger, wtf.
Might’ve won the the Finals in 2021 with Brooklyn if it weren’t for his long ass feet
Absolutely would have and people would view him a lot differently today too.
Same as Giannis. That win really cemented his legacy.
Yeah there’s probably another reality where Giannis forces his way out of the bucks years ago if he didn’t win that miracle chip
There’s a reality where the Nets don’t even get past the Hawks. No shot KD is beating the Suns in the final.
Even if his toe wasn’t on the line his body would give up at some point during the run. Hell, they lost in overtime because KD was completely gassed.
Also, If his toe wasn’t on the line, USA straight up wasn’t winning the Olympics either. That gold was dependent on his non-deep play-off run.
Those hockey sticks always cause trouble in the playoffs
I would like to once again give thanks for getoffmydickerson’s big ass feet
Adrenaline is one hell of a drug
Love the pfp
People here saying he’s faking it are genuinely pathetic
Yeah KD is the epitome of hoop is life…even the fact that his burners are just him shittalking hoops confirms this. No way he bitches out of a playoff game down 0-2.
Ya it’s people projecting their hatred of him onto whatever.
For all his faults the dude is a hooper
This sub is the epitome of calling “bullshit injuries”. They did the same with Luka
He played 78 games this year at his age. He’s one of those players who tries to show up all the time.
Yeah plus he legitimately tore his Achilles trying to play through foot pain before.
Not worth it
Well well well… Luke Kennard is doing more to help us than just score
Luke Nukem
I take back my comments about him making it up. That legit will take you out. Any hooper knows.
The fact that anyone would think KD of all people would fake injury is hilariously misguided. All he thinks about is ball.
As a KD truther, the KD hate is misguided
Reddit is a weird place sometimes.
no he doesn’t lmfao whenever he gets called out for being trash and not doing anything since GSW, his favorite excuse is “I just wanna hoop” to pretend he doesn’t care when we know he cares so desperately that he’s been caught MULTIPLE times on burners defending himself to 14 year olds online.
you fell for his PR spin 🤣🫵
You kinda suck for thinking he was faking it in the first place
Lolwat. He jogged back down the court.
And after 2 days he can’t even try in a playoff game
It’s called swelling bro it doesn’t seize up immediately. Ive rolled plenty of ankles balling and kept playing then the next day the bitch is three times the size and unable to move.
When I was in undergrad I twisted my ankle playing soccer. I kept playing just fine. A couple hours later my ankle was the size of my foot and I couldn’t put pressure on it
let’s see the swollen ankle then. I’m old enough to remember seeing players on the bench with their ankle 3x the size after a sprain. if I see it I’ll apologize right now. but the mysterious “knee” injury during a random practice that nobody saw and now this is sus af.
He’s a grown ass man. He doesn’t need to provide pictures of his injury to the public. That’s crazy to expect
I can tell youve never played a sport competitively in your life jesus
Is this your new burner, Kevin?
I know you’ve never played a sport before, but often times the adrenaline helps you get through the play. Back to bed with you now.
Lollll. You’re on reddit just like me, online legend.
If you played, you know how this can go. You roll your ankle, it feels fine. Maybe finish the game. Then, you sit out a game (or call it a night) and the moment the body “cools down,” then you feel the injury.
I’ve rolled my ankle before, played a few more games. Ride home with my buds and by the time I get home, the ankle is the size of a balloon and aim out of commission for a few weeks.
Brother, that feels so much worse two days later. It’s likely swollen and stiff as hell, and depending on exactly where the strain is, difficult to push off/change directions.
Source: been playing for 40 years and have had many many many ankle injuries
He’ll be fine in a game or two, but the first few days after the sprain feels worse than the day of.
You never hurt your ankle and it shows
A real hooper will know this is the kind of thing you feel later or the next day as it swells
You’re on reddit aswell
lmao that little ass thing is enough to take him out? lmfao give me a break. would he be sitting out if they were 3-0 right now?? yes or no?
Average height young Redditor refuses to believe a 7 foot 38 year old can’t play on a rolled ankle
LeBron James is 50 years old and gets injured way worse and he literally just tightens his shoelaces and still plays. KD IS OVERRATED AF.
Average height young Redditor who never played sports at a competitive level doesn’t understand that some people’s bodies react differently to injuries, or that KD played a thousand more minutes than LBJ this season.
good so cupcake’s name should never be uttered when we speak of the NBA greats. he’s overrated and washed af. notice how nobody has answered my question either lmao.
This redditor is actually a midget
You can’t compare peopel to LeBron lol there is no one else like him
exactly so when we make our list of the greats, people need to leave cupcake off the list entirely. he hasn’t done shit since he left his true leader, Stephen Curry. he always calls himself a “god” and it makes me sick lmao he’s extremely overrated.
Lebron played 18 fewer games and almost 900 fewer total minutes than KD this season btw
Bro, I sprained my ankle like this, and finished playing the game, only for the next day my ankle to be in so much pain, even attempting a light jog made me need to sit down. Im 27 mind you, so its not like I’m old and I’m not out of shape. Maybe a kid or teenager could easily recover, but 25 plus, you definitely not playing the next game.
same. kept playing on it, felt fine. next day it was the size of a tennis ball and I couldn’t walk for a week.
and that’s why you’re not regarded as one of the “greatest” in history just as cupcake shouldn’t be either.
Ur probably 5’8”
Again, any hooper would know
Pov ur stupid and comment on reddit
Kennard ending Rockets hopes in more ways than one
Fuck that looks like it hurt like a b
Luke did Nukem
Crazy how many mins he played in the regular season but once it clicked over to the playoffs is when he started being hurt.
Ouch, that turned all the way over too. Probably felt sore the rest of the game then absolutely miserable as soon as he stopped/next day.
Looks like a high ankle sprain I had one similar to that and I had to use crutches for 2 months
I actually flinched while watching this
hopefully a 1 game thing, thank the basketball gods it wasnt on the same leg as the bruise
The fact that people genuinely think he would fake an injury just to stick it to his teammates is crazy. I’m sure it’s more beneficial for his career to go out there and show that he’s a good player than for people to think he’s washed and a quitter. Plus he genuinely just loves hooping
Looks like the one where Lukas hamstring was injured
What game was this
It’s interesting how no one caught that during the game
When he took that shoe off I know it hurt . In the morning could barley walk
I promise we didnt need the arrow. We saw the bottom of his shoe
Ive done this at 14 walking through a crosswalk… im old now, might be life ending kind of injury
God damn, ankles are so fickle. Everyone’s banging each other everywhere - knees and above - and then ankles fall apart unless the ground is perfectly flat.
Big ass feet
This looks exactly like that layup line one from a year or two back.
It’s plays like this that make me surprised that injuries aren’t way more rampant. It’s just one misstep and you’re done.
Man LeBron playing through that icl
Tighten the shoelaces no jutsu
Just reverse cursed technique it smh
Right, the guy who would show up post-game with all sorts of wraps, ice, casts, etc. after a bad performance 😂
LeBron running full speed double pump reverse dunk, but if he gets nicked on a shot he will appear dead on the floor for up to 90 seconds lol.
Me when I make things up
Because he never gets called. He has to sell. Meanwhile Shai gets a small gust of wind and now is in the freethrow line.
Luke doing the lords work on both ends of the court
Yeah. He’s quitting on his team again.
Watching OKC bitch y’all will be so enjoyable
Someone mad they’re at home🤣
Not really :)
lol look at this salty little bitch ^ why dont you go suck off sga like the refs
enjoy your vacation
facts
[deleted]
this is literally the most common way to sprain your ankle in basketball
Yup. That shit bites you after a hoop session/game
This dude only plays 2k but has never laced them up.
Whenever I see someone comment bitch made, I know you’re like a white teenager from some middle to upperclass neighborhood
With the 2000s Justin Bieber hair cut
Huh love how y’all got mad at thunder fans for saying Luka pretended to be injured just to turn around and say this shit lol
