Same thing with CJ, shot a tour date today but we were never not going to draw up a play for his shot, every team has a role and that is Brunson’s role
Eh it’s different for us, CJ is literally our only consistent clutch option, Knicks had a scorching hot OG and KAT besides Brunson, they absolutely had options, Brunson was fumbling all night.
OGs points came from break down plays and crazy shots. He hit them all due respect but they weren’t set plays for him. Hes not that kind of player.
OG doesn’t shoot to miss.

Blazers fan here, I was upset CJ got dealt before Dame.
Dame is lights out and clutch but his ball handling skills are shockingly bad for such a skilled player. Several teams in the playoffs turned him into a turnover machine before we stopped having him bring up the ball. He couldn’t break pressure 1:1, let alone double teamed.
CJ is the epitome of smooth and calculated. His handle is second to none and masks his okay athleticism. Great shot, good passer, decent driver. He can start on every team.
Context matters. CJ is fantastic, but if he was the primary ball handler being blitzed in those playoff series, it would have been tough for him too.
That said, LOVE CJ and it’s so fun to see him going off.
The Nuggets doubled CJ, singled dame at 3⁄4 court. It was night and day, and the Blazers couldn’t trust Dame with it.

I used to watch a lot of blazers games back in the day. Dame was obviously better, but I always felt that CJ was more consistent if that makes sense.

yeah i think he had a rough start to the season, but part of that was being with the frickin wizards. and while his numbers have dipped a little (in terms of season averages), for the most part he has been one of the most consistent players over the last 10 seasons.
He was good on the Wizards, and the Wizards were above .500 in his last 10 or 11 games. You just didnt watch the games, which is fair.
i said he had a rough start. his first 2 games he scored 9 and 6 points respectively on less than 30% shooting. also of course i didn’t watch the games because wizards hahaha
