Tom Dundon is still paying Billups. I have no idea if Billups contract gets voided if found guilty or just the remainder of his contract. And the process would probably take longer than his contract length anyway.

This is why the Kings retained Doug. Doug is on a 2mil contract and they still paying for Brown, although probably offset because he signed a new deal with the Knicks. Differencs is Kings now want to be bad, while Blazers should be aiming for top 6 goals next season. Also I think Splitter has deserved retention being thrown in the fire and succeeding, and he probably knocked back a 2 Mil deal.

There is certainly a quality college coach who would take a million dollar deal to break into the NBA if that’s what they want. It’s very hard to get into that club and once you’re in - you generally stay in.

Honestly though, Being an NBA head coach for 1M, doing a great job, and then getting the NEXT HC job where you’re making like 7-9M might be the move..

Billion dollar owner being a douche is surely true. However, keep in mind the pettiness of those who lose their comfortable job where they were never held to the proper standard. How many of us have worked with people who get away with way more than they should? When those people get called on it, do they go down easy? Change their ways? Or get super petty? Almost always the last one.
