It wasn’t crazy to me at all. This is what I grew up watching in the 90’s and early 2000’s. Rivals legit hated each other and it spilled over to the fans, which made it even better. I miss the days of the old Knicks vs Heat rivalry. The players today don’t seem to honor not being buddy buddy with opposing players because it’s good for their image and free agency is a thing now and players move around way more, so they don’t burn bridges with opposing players and teams.

I will say that this season the players do seem to be talking more trash on and off the court. I’d be thrilled if that returned permanently and the league doesn’t intervene and let the players talk again, once they don’t cross any lines. It’s good for the game.

As a Nugget fan I love it.

Mainly, because he is right. AG, Peyton Watson and Bruce Brown are the only real defenders on the whole team. With AG limited, PWat hurt and Bruce playing short minutes the rest of the defense is soft.

I mean, their defense straight up wasn’t the problem. They gave up about as many points as they normally give up, their problem was they couldnt score which is how they make up for their defense. Jokic going ¹⁄₇ in the fourth, jamal struggling to score while dealing with mcdaniels and gobert, and no one else really being a scoring threat to help.

The response from Denver outside of Adelman was pretty tame. There’s nothing really to respond to. “I don’t care” and “he has a point” is what it boils down to. I saw more Denver fans upset that they didn’t bite back harder than anything.
