[Charania] San Antonio Spurs’ Keldon Johnson has won the 2025-26 NBA Sixth Man of the Year award.

I hate that the award have turned into a debate about whether a player deserves it or not. Multiple players can “deserve” an award but only one winner is chosen!
Its nothing new, fans have complained about award winners/losers for decades in every sport. Only difference is instead of debating taking place at bars and barber shops, it takes place behind a keyboard lol
I still remember how mad my dad was when Nash won MVP over Shaq.
Participation trophies for all!
Ideal 6th man. Biggest hype man, doesnt mind his role, and every time he comes in he’s efficient buckets and energy.
Dylan Harper 3rd place votes leggo
Seems to me, Jaime lost because the heat sucked
Well I mean, when 2 players play a similar role, and have a similar case, and one is on a team with 20 more wins - that guys usually gets the votes. (And that is pretty much across the board with awards - slightly less so with ROY than the others).
6MOY is almost always either “best 6th man on one the top teams”, or “high volume scorer off the bench” (and sometimes both, even when the 2nd guy isn’t the best 6th man on his own team - see Clarkson over Jingles).
Of course Jaime would’ve been a fine winner, I just think Keldon’s case was better.
Dylan Harper and Big Sandro also getting votes >>>>>
Mamuuuuu!!!
GOLD MEDALIST KELDON JOHNSON TO YOU
Way to go Big Body 💪 he’s comes along so much. What a career he’s having so far. Let’s add a ring to it as well
Good on Jaquez Jr to bounce back from the sophomore slump
During the tanking years I admittedly used to have some real reservations about keeping Keldon on the roster going forward. But I’m so glad the FO didn’t give up on him and that he accepted the bench role.
Even last year I wasn’t sure whether he would make the cut. But he really stepped up this year. He is a big part of us getting 60 wins.
🥩 🥩 🥩!!!!! He deserves this - heart and soul of the spurs
No he ain’t 😂
Stfu when you’re not even a fan dimsum.
He’s known as the “Heart and Soul” of the team because that’s what his teammates and even coaching staff call him.
Username checks out
In fact he is
Wemby is
Not yet.
“Heart and soul” goes deep. KJ been with us for several years now, through the really low times, always picks up the vibe and always shows 100% love for the city and the fans.
To spurs fans, he is the current heart and soul for the team.
Okays u know ur team best ha
I mean that’s what his teammates say, but I guess you’d know better

Deserved
Was hoping THJ but can’t be mad about this
Nope. Played 82 games. All 82 off the bench. 6th In Spurs minutes.
2nd in bench scoring. Broke the spurs bench record.
Straight up 6th man. Deserved.
I’m aware. Hence why I said “can’t be mad about this”
Which is why I said ‘nope’
Valid
Who was 1st in bench scoring?
JJJ I think. Don’t quote me on this though I’m not positive
It was Jaime Jaquez Jr was
1st in total points 1st in PPG 1st in APG 1st in total assists 1st in 20+ point games 1st in FGM
Only player to have 1000+ points, 300+ rebounds, 300+ assists and 50+ 3PM off the bench in history.
Robbed
Total number stats don’t mean ish cause he played more minutes.
Jaime cleared KJ in about every stat
You are ignorant and wrong lol at least y’all have 83 and the 50 fts thing
Not at all.
Jaime also had more PPG (+2.2) APG (+3.3) SPG (+0.1) BPG (+0.2) Double-doubles (+1) 20/5/5 games (+5, Keldon had 0) than KJ. He played more, sure because we needed him too. Yall forget Herro was out half the year
Breaking news, more minutes also leads to more per game stats. Now bring up efficiency and per possession numbers. Your ‘every stat’ crap is ignorance or straight propaganda no one’s falling for.
Enjoy that 83 this summer lol
spurs sweeping the awards
Congrats to Keldon
So happy for KJ! Dude stuck it out through our rough stretch and is an awesome team player!
Ayy congrats to him!! Spurs are back on all fronts
He’s been amazing in this role all year.
Didn’t jaquez have the better stats? Feels like johnson won due to the spurs having a better record.. they also have Wemby.
Jaime was
Only player to have 1000+ points, 300+ rebounds, 300+ assists and 50+ 3PM off the bench in history
He also played 5 more MPG, and took significantly more shots on noticeably lower efficiency. Keldon was also ahead in most advanced stats
Absolutely not
I will not stand for this Garzilla erasure.
(jk KJ was my vote)
Ehhhhhh
Interesting…
Deserved*
Holy shit what a highway robbery
Jaime Jaquez Jr averaged more in every single stat other than rebounding and shooting (by >1 rebounds and 1% collectively). And from what I’ve seen, the only reason he didn’t get it is because the Miami Heat team sucks outside of him and Bam
Your boy plays almost 30 minutes a game, averages fewer boards, and scores one extra bucket on a mid team. Not robbery
And Jaime is literally quintuple the playermaker he is? Jaime and Keldon both shoot around the same percentage from the field (51% to 52%)
you said dis
Jaime Jaquez Jr averaged more in every single stat other than 3pt%
Oops, missay.
Eh I’m not really moved by cherrypicked stats, especially anything that relies on 3PM being included
What cherry picked stat do I show? He lead KJ in just about everything
I was obviously referring to the “only player to have x” part
The award more often than not goes to a guy on a highly seeded team. Only Lou Williams for the Clippers won the award in recent history for a team that wasnt at least a top 4 seed in the conference.
The method to win awards now is to beg for it in post game interviews
Or to go to an “extraordinary circumstances” appeal
Fuck off. More than deserves it.
It’s not like he doesn’t deserve it
Its different when someone is straight up asked, I dont consider answering a question begging.
The difference is that Keldon waited until he was asked for his opinion. I think there’s a lesson in there for you!
Next time a reporter ask someone a question on something concerning something similar to this, I hope the person just shits and piss themselves instead of answering the question
People are going to shit on you but it was very evident that made an impact in some ways
ajay snub
He missed like half the season bro lol
no he didn’t
Not every thunder player has to win awards.
Ajay just missed too much time unfortunately
He should’ve been a finalist, maybe even ahead of 2⁄3
Don’t hit the same when you beg for it
