Only a handful of teams throughout NBA history had three 20+ PPG scorers period. You typically had your two top dogs, or one superstar and a bunch of roleplayers. It really is impossible without both a modern superteam type of offense, and historically bad luck.

Based on how we looked this season before and after he went down, Steven Adams is probably worth a significantly larger amount than what he’s making. Of course, the fact that he went down and we’re here in the playoffs without him sort of explains why he isn’t getting that larger amount, I guess.

Steven Adams is a factor for sure… But I would argue it’s really the playmaking that is atrocious. So, 1) the game plan is bad, but also 2) not having FVV available is clearly a problem. And yet, I am sorry, but the Lakers are playing with a dinosaur and a couple of serviceable NBA players… so, no, I don’t think any of these excuses are really valid. Sengun and KD were All Stars this year, no? Maybe they should try playing like the players they believe they are.
