If anything it would only boost his legacy, to be moving and shooting like that in his prime at 7’0 is way more impressive compared to a 6’9 guy doing the exact same thing. Also puts him up as possibly the best shooting 7’0er ever whereas right now it’s almost unanimously Dirk.

That argument is so dumb because his coaching staff would know how tall he actually is.
It was all perception of having an advantage only because you were taller, not because you were simply more talented.
They wouldn’t know that prior to drafting him, and building a team with multiple centers who are not KD, and then KD showing up to training camp. By then they’d already have their center rotation pretty much set in stone with it not involving KD.
KD was a SG his rookie year. They’re not playing a 7ft SG in 2007 unless you trick them into it by lying about your height.
