The Padres 1-0 victory today over the Rockies marks only the 12th ever 1-0 ballgame at Coors Field
Per the Padres broadcast.
Randy Vazquez legacy game
All in all, the Trent Grisham-Randy Vazquez trade was a win for everyone
How could you not mention the most important piece of that trade in Michael King?
Kyle Higashioka
What’s Drew Thorpe up to these days?
God damn I miss Higgy. He has character, and vibes!
Miss My King every day
Not sending out Miller to close was disrespectful as fuck. And also completely justified.
He pitched 4 of the last 6 so I guess they wanted to give him an extra day off. Morejon is also very good though and you had I think 2 lefties up in the 9th?
I thought it was a good move. Dude’s been overworked lately and its easy to forget that the Padres’ elite bullpen isn’t just Miller.
In the postgame Stammen said they made that decision on Sunday
Actually surprising stat for me. Even with coor baseball is still baseball, I figured there would be more.
I don’t have a stat to back it up, but I feel like the Mariners have 12 of these a year.
Think about this, the Padres are missing their top 3 starters due to elbow injuries, lost their closer from last year in free agency, and are pitching better than ever!
Ruben Niebla is underpaid!
Snubbed for manager too. But when no one else can do better as pitching coach you have to keep him there.
I bet he makes more than the manager…
He should
And the one run was an RBI walk. What a crazy showing for the pitching on both sides.
15 Ks at Coors and still losing is truly sinister
Dollander is a stud.
Bro got “Mets deGrom” ‘d
I’ve now seen 21-0 and 1-0 in this ballpark. Wonder what weird shit I’ll see tomorrow.
5-4 prolly
Cold early seasons games in Denver will tamp things down, but I actually was excited to see a 1-0 game.
Rarer than a no-hitter
Hideo Nomo is the only pitcher to ever get a no-hitter in Denver.
That game still had a combined nine runs scored, much more so than tonight’s spectacular pitching duel.
How anyone ever achieved a no hitter in that ballpark is actually hall of fame worthy in its own right.
That was also during the steroid era at pre-humidor Coors.
What a game of all time
Yet another pathetic showing by the Padres offence.
Anyways they 9-1 last 10 games and may be tied with the Dodgers atop the NL West later on.
WTF IS HAPPENING
I am genuinely blown away by this, every other game in the parks history had multiple runs?
