There’s a reason (other than being frugal) that the Brewers let him go…the air does not bend consistently any longer.
I learned a lot about him just from watching his year with us. he’s absolutely worthless if he can’t locate one of his two pitches. he’s only good when he can keep you guessing. if his fastball is off they just sit changeup and take it for a ball, if the changeup is off his fastball is not hard to hit.
He also just doesn’t really throw the fastball over for strikes as much as he should and it’s not a great fastball.
He walks way too many hitters to be a closer now, he was better when we demoted him
