I feel like I’ve seen this same post and comment in the post multiple times a playoffs for the past few years.

Good threes happen as a result of getting into the paint and drawing the help, either as a driver or by posting up. Good threes also happen as a result of using offball screens to get shooters open. Bad threes happen when a player chucks the ball up from beyond the arc.

We know how he rolls though, the earliest he can come back is when we will see him.

We shouldn’t even if he miraculously was available. This lineup just beat them in Boston with two games coming home now. Ride this lineup for game 3 again and have Embiid saved for later

He started ramping up yesterday & he has always pushed to come back early. I think it’s very possible.

I do not think it would be a good decision for his own well being though.

Amusingly, they’re tied for 6th most missed 3s in a single playoff game with that very game you’re thinking of. Wasn’t 27 straight misses for the Celtics but it was the same amount of missed 3s with 37 in that game too.

Unfortunately wasn’t a game 7 😔

At least it wasn’t game seven of the conference finals lol. The Celtics at least have time to correct it.

This is just Mazulla ball. Embiid can come back, won’t matter. If Boston shoots well from 3 they win. If Boston shoots poorly from 3 they lose. And they’re gonna jack 50 3’s either way. Even when they won the title 2 years ago they’d have inexplicable home losses and then win both road games. This is the way of Mazulla ball.

Eh, while I agree that 3 point variance is a big part of this, the actual shot quality was significantly better for Philly this game imo, didn’t feel super fluky to me atleast.

The Pistons have Duren, Ausar and Tobias. Isaiah Stewart off the bench. The Magic have Wendell, Paolo, and Franz. Bitadze off the bench. Cavs have Mobley and Allen. 

It’s a make or miss league and no team represents that more than the C’s.

More than likely we get to game 5 at 2-2 with Embiid coming back on the floor.

I think there is going to be a general “tightness” and “clenching” with a 3 game series and the Sixers (who are better than their record) approaching full strength.

It’s also why it’s rare that they do, stupid ass shooting variance and weird lapses in focus. The focus thing is the actual problem, the shooting variance cannot be solved.

Yep, they usually occur once per series and even did during our title run(funnily enough, usually in game 2 as well lol)
