Pre-Pre-Anouncement Bingo Build
One of the first ones i see div cards on. And i want them bad.
what’s a div card?
Divination Cards are tradeable, inventory-stacking items dropped from specific monsters or areas that, when a full set is collected, can be exchanged for valuable rewards like unique items, currency (e.g., Exalted Orbs or Divine Orbs), gems, or gear.
So why not just drop the items themselves. Seems like unnecessary bloat
So it’s not just bloat. It’s a way to make ultra-rare items somewhat deterministic, tradable at different stages, and tied to specific content instead of pure luck.
Spot on. It can become bloaty when you have tons of different ones with no value… as long as there’s a good mix of currency and high value item cards it will be good.
In general though Div cards provide a way to drop a fraction of an item or currency more frequently than the item itself. So instead of getting unlucky with drops waiting for the actual item you can target farm a fraction of the item, collect the set or sell your fraction (div card). Works great with high end items or items locked to certain content you dislike. SSF loves div cards because it lowers that rng spike allowing you to target farm things you normally wouldn’t expect to find on your own.
They are typically tied to a specific location/mechanic and can include uniques as well. For example if you want a specific unique in SSF, you can currently only pray that you get it sooner rather than later. If div cards were added and you need a specific item, say Alpha’s Howl, maybe it’s div card would drop in forest biomes and so now you could farm forest biomes and collect it piece by piece.
Evens out drops a bit so tracking farming is more realistic. When farming div cards, it is fairly common to track one of the more common ones to extrapolate how many maps are needed for the rarer ones.
Farming div cards (and stacked decks) ends up being much more interesting than farming for raw drops because it is possible to track and min-max the farm.
Sounds like you’d benefit from playing the hit F2P game PoE1 to avoid stepping on landmines like that.
no its a fair question that someone who doesnt know the system (like me as well) just naturally has
I was partially kidding, point is though that if someone wants something to return from PoE1 to PoE2, it’s probably not ‘unnecessary bloat’. At that point it’s a proven mechanic and it may be wise to phrase the question differently to avoid being dogpiled.
Granted if he really wanted to know he could of just looked it up. However we got a short discussion on it that I’m sure plenty of new people who exclusively play poe2 were wondering about. Now they all know assuming they scrolled far enough.
div cards + div card gambling and I’m so in
Imagine adding harvest and divination cards in the same league. I’d run through a brick wall for that.
I hope they get overhauled compared to PoE1. I like how they were initially pitched, but not how they were delivered.
my understanding was div cards arent coming till after launch
I just hope that Amazon or Ranger gets a companion themed Ascendancy, since most of the Companion based minion nodes are over there. Also, Absolution or Dominating Blow for Templar
I think temporary minions are DOA in POE2. Look what they did to SRS. Since you can have as many 6links as you want having passive minions and temporary minions would mean you are double the power of a normal build or passive and active minions have to be half the power of a normal build on their own.
They could get around it by having intended “active” minions have a line prevents “passive” minion.
Like dominating blow/absolution could say “Deals blah blah damage and has a % chance to summon a sentinel IF you have no persistent minions” or something similar.
Wildspeaker Huntress has been leaked, but just name/art, so no guarantees beyond the fact that they were planning on it at least once upon a time. Still, ascendancies are a pretty safe bet, I think, so Wildspeaker is at least reasonably likely in 0.5.
Templar probably will have Absolution or Dominating Blow, quite possibly as a starter skill even, but I think Templar is pretty unlikely in 0.5. I suspect 0.5 won’t have any class, really, but if it does, it’s almost certainly going to be Marauder or Duelist, IMO. I honestly expect Templar to appear post-release (1.1 or later)…
We already know that amazon componian ascendency will be added. I m also very excited about it
What is the companion ascendancy supposed to cover? Rhoa mounts and raise spectres?
The datamined name is Wildspeaker. It appears it will have access to 3 minions. A bear, an owl, and an elk/stag.
So kinda like Varashta?

No Chayula rework? Would be a first
I like the current iteration and I’ve played Chayula every single release so far. Could it do with more work? sure. Does it need a whole rework? probably not.
If anything, making darkness better would be fine, the rest of it overall feels good.
Feel like they either need to ditch volatility or halve the cap and double the effect. It feels like a clunkier less consistent purple flame.
the base idea is solid, check. it has its fans, check. its in a playable state right now, check.
its in the assasin land now, nummeric changes yes, rework no.
It’s me, I’m one of the fans. Played 0.4 before the temples really got out of control but I ran an explosive shot crossbow chayula using darkness and it was by far my strongest character so far, though I also don’t follow others guides for things either.
Certainly effective enough for what I did.
I did read the small text.
I hope we get another class. An endgame rework might not be enough to get me in. Plenty of time for that over the next decades
hard disagree, plenty of variations of the existing classes and skills i haven’t tried, but the end game will be the same if theres nothing new
you can make the same argument for classes as well, they can come over time, but endgame is what you spend your time doing and having the same tired and cobbled together endgame is what makes people quit faster and faster.
I agree with the statement that endgame is the bulk of your playtime but if you are a melee cuck like me the current options are very limiting which just means I end up burning out quick regardless of how the endgame is. If you enjoy just about any type of gameplay I think it makes sense that you want the things you engage with(the endgame) rather than the controls(archetype/class) be prioritized.
I genuinely don’t care about the ascendancies in poe2. They should of focused on weapons, skills, supports, and passives. Then release the hyper specialization of ascendancies for 1.0.
That being said we can’t go back but I still would rather see the majority of weapons, skills, and supports before more ascendancies. Those should be the fun part of 1.0.
Edit: If a skill or weapon type doesn’t function without a specific ascendancy that is a deficiency.
if there is no endgame rework, the only reason for me to play is the campaign with the new class.
Heist 🗣️💀💀💀💀💀💀
You don’t like experimented items?
I noticed
Why are people calling it “Gladiator”? Shouldn’t it be “Duelist”?
Duelist is the class, Gladiator is one of its ascendancies. Focused around phys/bleed from what I remember in PoE 1.
It’s gladiator in second game, most likely. At least that’s what artbook with all classes says.
I see the blight spot. God Im hoping.
blight would be great but they’d have to seriously rework the loot from it esp since they added annoting to delirium (oils from poe1). and i dont suspect we’ll get cluster jewels since poe2 tree is already a mess.
I agree about anointing. They will have to make Blight something worth Farming.
we NEED a cooking mama league
Div cards would be awesome
Shadow card is most copium I have seen for a while, its unfortunately almost certainly just Gladiator. I personally have wanted shadow since launch, but, naaah, it aint happening in 0.5
What in the world is a Maraider?
a marauder with butterfingers
I want Harvest.
What do you mean, no boat league? Blasphemer! Every league is boat league if you grasp at enough straws.
Speed warrior: I doubt we’ll see a speed mace build by 2030.

Top right
Doubt we’ll see a bingo here: pretty sure 0.5 is not going to have a new class. As for the league, you’re missing a big one in Jun/Order of the Djinn/Betrayal, which I expect because I think we’re going to Act 5/Oriath, and the interlude hinted that we should expect to meet Jun there.
