[Highlight] Jaden McDaniels is called for the foul on a dunk attempt by Christian Braun, the Timberwolves with unsuccessful challenge, and the announcers don’t agree with the call (with replays)
That and then jokics flopping right after had me hot ngl
You’re telling me a 6’11” 280 pound dude can fall that easily from a small push from someone 30 pounds lighter?
No way he’s not 310+
And that’s not fat shaming. Just if your 7 ft with muscle you’re over 300
He actually looks a decent amount slimmer than he has in the past
Hopefully people start to realize that it’s not just us 😭
Jokic flops worse than Shai objectively.
Legitimately yeah and only one of them gets 3k upvote hate threads every time they play a game
It’s way more annoying when Jokic does it cause he is like 290
No fucking way he hit you like that lol
He does that shit all the time bc he knows he can pick up cheap fouls on guys with it. At least once a game he’ll go to box someone out and then just folds himself in half at the waist as soon as the guy he’s boxing out makes contact on his back.
We all know why
Hes been flopping like crazy for years tbh. He just doesnt get as much shit for it.
No, please don’t go there.
I’m also annoyed at Jokic starting to embrace flopping in key moments, but it’s not as unrelenting at SGA’s.
“starting”
Shai doesn’t flop, he seeks contact and might even sell it at times but he doesn’t flop.
Sure, Jan.
Watch games instead of box scores and reddit clips and you’ll know. The same crowd are acting surprised that Jokic flops like a fish when this who he’s been his entire career lol
Bro that shit was so fucking annoying! That’s some weak shit. You deserve to lose doing that.
Folded better than most chairs
Foot to knee. lol
Braun kicked McDaniels in the knee so foul on McDaniels obviously
Foul on Jaden for existing. Business as usual in the association.
Also flagrant on Rudy for being bald
Also if someone lands on Jadens foot while jumping forward on a 3 it’s a flagrant. Hes just gotta keep his feet and knees to himself.
Like, yes there was foot to knee. On Braun.
Happy cake day! Idk how Braun tapping Jaden’s knee with his foot is a foul but whatever
one of one
NBA has the worst refs in professional sports and Adam Silver is more concerned about the worst teams not getting the best picks and expanding to Europe
The explanation was some how much worse than the initial call lol
Yeah I figured they’d just say McDaniels having his hand on Braun’s waist would be the reason it stood. It would be soft as hell, but I can at least understand it. This explanation was worse than him just saying “I don’t want to overturn my own calls so it stands, go fuck yourself.”
Just some phenomenal calls in these games
It made me more pissed 😂
Tony Brothers really tried giving the Nuggets a win
Why was Tony reviewing his own challenge what the hell was that
Crew chief reviews shooting fouls, even if they call them initially. It’s such a deeply broken system.
Should be the people in Secaucus.
Announcers easily the best crew so far
It’s called chemistry. Michael Grady has it with everyone.
Grady is my goat
I miss Grady, happy for him but he got poached and hasn’t done nearly as many wolves games this year.
He’s gonna be so big, man. We’ll always know when he was ours, but the world needs to hear his dulcet tones and jet fueled hype.
CASH
CORNER POCKET
COOKIES
I’m gonna miss him and jim Pete on call, the chemistry they have is unmatched.
Foot to knee contact? As in Braun kinda swiped McDaniels planted leg on the way up?! Wtf are we doing
i have never heard foot to knee in my life for a call lmao, foul for aggressively standing apparently
This is like when we lost a challenge to the Grizz like 4 years ago where Ja kneed a dude in the nuts but they said knee to midsection
He was standing there… menacingly
Honestly twolves were getting pretty shafted in the 4th this game
That reffing crew was just abysmal. It went in waves back and forth all game on who was getting shafted. And there were stretches of football and stretches of the softest calls of all time.
They were better off calling McDaniels’ off hand on Braun.
Even Tarantino would tell you there was no foot to knee contact
There was thought, Braun kicked Jaden in the knee as he was going up. Which obviously constitutes a foul on Jaden
I expected a Tony brothers masterclass and he still exceeded my expectations with this call. Amazing work Tony, you’re the best
Tony Brothers is one of the dumbest dudes in the league. Someone gotta send dude to the retirement home
Scott Foster: “hold my beer”
I’m here for Jaden knee’s villain arc.
That knee is no villain, he has a wife and two kids at home.
Not a foul, but couldn’t it have been considered basket interference with his hand grazing the net?
If he grabbed the net sure, if you want to start calling interference every time the defense happens to touch the net….
Well, that call is dependent on where the ball is when the defender’s hand touches the net. In this case it is very close, but does look like his hand was touching the net when the ball first makes contact with the rim which would make it a legitimate basket interference if called as such.
Ok, let me just connect the dots for you on this one. You, or anyone that watches this game, do not want basket interference called whenever the defense touches the net.
It would be literally impossible to contest reverse layups, lol
I don’t think so because his hand just went into the net, it didn’t move the rim or touch the ball through it ring so I would think it wouldn’t matter
His foot didn’t even come within 6 inches of his knee. I don’t know wtf he thinks he saw.
It’s while Hes taking off and Jaden is planted on the ground, he kicks his knee lol
is the “foot to knee” in the room with us right now?
“Foot to knee” the bball gods had to make things right
The basketball gods brought justice man, no matter how hard the officiating crew tried
abolish stripes
Refs are absolute garbage
Bro just did not want to admit he was wrong 😭 😭
How you gonna have your hand pulling the net while the offensive player is making an attempt not called but the foul called?
Do the refs even get like punishment for horrendous calls like this?
Atrocious
I do think the hand on the torso is enough to influence a dunk enough to make this a valid call
If only that was their rationale
I think it’s the lowest end of probably a foul but kinda weak.
I don’t disagree but with all the stuff they were letting go this game, it’s ridiculous to call such a light foul in a critical moment
That’s why they went with “foot to knee” contact. Because Braun wasn’t impeded at all so they went with foot to knee contact
Should have won Game 1 but they played 8v5. We were scorching hot and Denver was ice cold but it was a tie game at halftime because of Jamal Murray’s free throws and that stupid “flagrant” call along with Jamal Murray slipping on his own and still gets free throws.
At one point, we had more offensive rebounds, less turnovers, shot better from the field and from 3 and Denver was still ahead LMAO. Then Law of Averages kicked in and the Wolves can’t recover.
It was a bad foul call, but also a dumb challenge because even though the soft hand on the hip didn’t affect the dunk 1% as much as the contact on every other contested dunk, it’s still technically a foul.
It was incidental contact, as evidenced by Tony Brothers coming up with the first ever knee to toe foul call in history. And this is despite Mr Brothers initially calling the foul for the hand on the hip. He just has a massive ego and can’t accept being wrong
That’s odd because this sub led me to believe that refs only miss calls in OKC games
