He also admits he switched his MVP from SGA to Jokic, but that was obviously not because of the Play-In. He described it as like waking up from a fever dream where he was like “What am I doing?! Jokic is the best player on earth.”

I think it’s very unrealistic to ask 100 people to ignorre what they’re currently watching and let it have no impact on their votes. Whether on purpose or not you’re allowing more data to come in past the buzzer. There has to be a better way to get the votes accurately while waiting for those exception cases.

Or just say that yes, we are including the play ins (which would be a little unfair but is cleaner).

I have repeatedly said that Bill is a biased idiot, but you are kidding yourself if you think he is the only voter that might change their mind after the play-in: he might just be the only one dumb enough to admit it.

I’m pretty sure every other year the votes need to be submitted after game 82. This was only delayed because of the Luka/Cade/Ant appeals of the 65 game rule - because voters apparently got locked out until after the appeal was ruled on. (Not unreasonable as the ballot was changing, but also made it impossible to vote until after the playin).

The only way to stop the play-in effecting votes would’ve been to have that shit sorted beforehand.
