Played pretty good, interested in seeing how his teammates play moving forward. Wemby’s biggest criticism over the season was one game he’d be the goat then the next have like 16 points.

Wemby’s biggest issue is that he’s gonna have games like this where he is the best player in the world. And then he’ll have a random night of like 17/6/2 which would be incredible for anyone but “off” for him because his standards are so high. And that’s what the media will latch onto.

What I don’t think casual fans understand is that his biggest impact is in the way he changes the game off the stat sheet. Opponents have to practice against dudes with pool noodles now. Every team is gonna roster an end of bench Greg ostertag whose main job is to hang on Wemby for 6-8 minutes. The pace and space game is gonna have even more space, because he can cover so much ground so quickly. They will have to triple team him, every possession. If they can’t stop him, they need to at least slow him down.
