If there was a comment like that, it was definitely downvoted to oblivion lol. He’s been a consensus top-4 MVP candidate for pretty much any Redditor or pundit I’ve seen discussing him.

When did this change to saying if he should finish top 4 in MVP or not? Though sure, I guess some people don’t have him there, but that’s rare. They’d have to really be pushing some wild narratives like Jaylen Brown, Kawhi, or even Cade top 4 (along with SGA/Jokic and then Luka as the 3rd I guess).

One game doesn’t prove this stuff wrong. I want to see him against better teams too, and his shot selection today was bad despite his efficiency.
He still showed he looks at least as good as his form so far after the all star break this season, like he’s carrying it into the Playoffs - maybe even better. But yeah…it’s only the Blazers and it’s the opening game. I’m not here to overreact. But I think the general idea he would somehow no show or have Playoff jitters have been shown to be false beliefs.
