He’s already better than Duncan and Robinson ever were. He’s still young so he just needs to catch up on the years, but if you have eyes, it’s easy to see he’s going to be the greatest Spur and has the potential to be at worst the 3rd best NBA player of all time.

The only thing you mentioned that would be a big factor in deciding a GOAT is the rings. Nobody cared about the career total scoring record before LeBron came along otherwise Kareem would have been the GOAT. Nobody cared about longevity before LeBron came along otherwise Kareem would have been the GOAT. And certainly nobody cares about a player playing with a son who doesn’t deserve to be anywhere near an NBA roster.
What decides a GOAT is the stuff they won, not just the rings but everything else a player can win in a career, as well as their on court impact which is reflected in their stats of course. But most important is the winning, by far. Look at the major accolades of the dozen or so players most commonly put in a top ten list and the least you will see is seven. I am talking about rings, MVPs, Finals MVPs and DPOY. Those are the big four and all those guys have at least seven with Jordan leading them all with 18.
So agree with you that it will be very difficult for him but not for the reasons you stated.
