The Los Angeles Lakers have been mentioned as a potential landing spot for Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, but Los Angeles may not be his preferred destination.
I think L.A. is super superficial. I don’t like L.A.,” Antetokounmpo said on Gogis Garage podcast.
Instead, the two-time MVP spoke more positively about Miami.
“Miami is not a bad place. Beautiful city, beautiful city,” Giannis said.
While Antetokounmpo has not officially requested a trade, many around the league believe he could be moved this offseason, one way or another.
The Lakers have surfaced in rumors, but other teams, including the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors, and Minnesota Timberwolves, have also been linked to the Greek star.
Los Angeles could put together a strong offer, potentially including three future first-round picks (2026, 2031, and 2033) along with significant cap flexibility to meet Milwaukee’s demands.
