LeBron is 28-2 in playoff series where his team has won the first game.
His only two losses after going up 1-0 were in 2010 against the Celtics in the 2nd round and 2011 against the Mavs in the finals.
my biggest fear is they rush luka back and he gets even more injured
I’m not saying they should and this situation is the same but one of Luka’s greatest playoff runs came when he returned vs Utah. Brunson held it down
Brunson and the rest of the Mavs splitting the series 1-1 allowed Luka to rest game three. And even then they won game 3
Sigh that Mavs team was fun
Both deep playoff teams were so fun.
Folks turned around and say Luka carried that team to the WCF. Breaks my heart as a Mavs fan. They held shit down without Luka.
Crazy nobody from that team except for Dwight Powell is left I think lmao.
That team was ass. They were giving g bullock dfs powell kleiber massive minutes.
Dfs was a good player back then.
That was a calf strain though.
Even scarier
“calf strain” are the two scariest words on the injury report
He’s gonna get hurt in the second round vs OKC if they do rush him back.
I mean if they win rd 1 without him that’s literally not him rushing back. It’s the initial timeline
i think so too
Dort will make sure of it
Dort will come out of the tunnel with a chainsaw to ensure that hamstring is cooked
I’d much rather have the Rockets play the Thunder, so OKC gets a bit of their own medicine and gets beaten up by Houston
You can tell neutral fans are getting worried when they start saying shit like this, “Luka you’d probably just get hurt just please sit out the rest of the playoffs and maybe all of next season too” lmao nerds
They shouldn’t bring him back until at least game 5 or 6.
Agreed. You don’t want a Haliburton situation. Not a Lakers fan but I love watching Luka and I’d hate for him to lose a season or even have long term damage. Fuck that. Punt it, reevaluate in the offseason and move forward. Even if they beat the Rockets, their chances against the Thunder are slim.
Hamstring won’t make him lose a season. Muscle, particularly in the upper leg, gets a lot of rich blood and will heal much, much faster than a ligament in the foot. He would be out for a couple months with a torn hammy, but he wouldn’t be out for the entire 27-28 season.
Yeah its not so much about the hammy though; its that it leads to other injuries like a torn ACL or MCL or Meniscus…not good to even dare trying.
They dont need to. If kd does come back I think Bron will just be more aggresive plus they can always throw the old double team at Kd if all else fails
My biggest fear is spiders
I’m investing early in the LeBron propaganda
The man is 78 years old what do you mean “early”
i really enjoyed richard jefferson constantly calling him a different older age lol
Look, if he wins this series at 41 without the top 2 scorers on his team, he’s the GOAT bro. I’m ready to push the narratives

2025 bitcoin
Seriously lol that a damn near impossible stat. Even during his first CLE stent?
2010 was during his last year in cleveland, they would usually be higher seeds so would win easier matchups. 2010 vs celtics and 2011 vs mavs stick out as 2 of his most criticized post season performances
27/9/7 on 55.6 TS isnt bad though vs the Celtics. He really only had one bad game with 15 points. Lebron led the Cavs in every single category, Shaq had the 2nd ppg in that series with 13.5
But the Mavs series is just terrible, robbed Wade of a fmvp
the lebron robbed wade of a fmvp narrative logically doesnt make sense
Yeah if Wade was that good that series, they would’ve won and he’d have taken the FMVP. Delusional haters lol
Haters of who or what think Wade was the best player in that series? Mavs haters? Dirk haters? Even LeBron’s biggest fans realize Wade was better than him in that series lol.
Wade was better than Dirk and Dirk’s team won…
Except its kind of true. Wade was the best player in that series on either team, but history has forgotten that. If LeBron played a little better, the Heat probably win and Wade wins FMVP.
He was insanely good the first 3 games and then really bad in the last 3(especially the turnovers). There were rumours that it was because delonte west(his teammate) was banging his mum
Wasn’t that also the reason why he left the Cavs? He felt like the management didn’t care or respected him with that incident.
People not old enough to be alive then making up shit.
This stat is actually very normal. Kobe for instance never lost a series when his team won game 1, but he lost plenty of series.
Why didn’t Kobe just win every Game 1? Is he stupid?
Is winning game 1 such a big deal in terms of winning the series?
Last year the Thunder won a championship despite losing 2 game 1s.
Correlation vs. causation.
Winning the first game in a series where the teams are very evenly matched is a significant advantage, but not a dominating one.
However, many NBA series are far from evenly matched. How many times did the Heatles, both LeBron Cavs teams, Kobe/Shaq Lakers, Kobe/Pau Lakers, and LeBron/AD Lakers play teams way weaker than them? A lot, and they mostly won those series quickly/easily, including winning game 1.
Yeah, that includes his first run with Cleveland too - he went 10-0 in those series before even going to Miami.
so he’ll be 28-3 if he loses? real falcon potential
Getting to a losing record on that one would actually enhance his legacy
Kind of scared that this may rush KD’s return if he ain’t healed yet
I mean what’s the worst that could happen by rushing KD back from injury.
Yeah I wonder where have we seen that before
I don’t think he’s that hurt but you never know. Game 2 is on Tuesday so hopefully he can heal up soon
He’s fine just a bruised knee
I bet it’s just a bad bruise from knocking knees in practice.
Scared of what? The worst that happens is KD just gets hurt worse and their championship chances remain at 0%
Insane stat wtf LeGOAT for a reason.
That’s the kind of stat that makes you realize how much he locks in after getting that early edge. Just demoralizing for opponents.
LeFirst Blood
Considering how close the game is without KD and the amount of bricks the rockets were setting for the homeless in LA, I think they adjust ngl
Winning with 66 field goal attempts vs 93 attempts for the rockets is crazy. they can’t have 18 turnovers next game.
if you guys continue to shoot >60% from the field i’m sure we’ll have significant trouble, yes
That’s a normal Tuesday for Luka Nard
Rui, Luke, and Ayton have been at the top of the league in TS% all season.
I mean they controlled the entire 4th. Lebron not needing to really push scoring at all is nice, he’s still very capable of getting 35 if he needs to.
The turnovers is concerning for me, and the rockets without a point guard turning the ball over less than the lakers with one has to be addressed. (It probably would but damn Marcus!)
Yeah the Rockets’ shooting was brutal tonight, they can’t possibly be that cold again next game.
I mean, they got a bunch of garbage points at the end. LA could’ve easily won by 15 but goofed around a little and the Rockets also took a free layup at the end for no reason.
Those were arguably the two worst series’ of his career too
2011 series is the only reason he’s not higher than Jordan all time.
one series does not undo all his accomplishments
No it doesn’t
However, Jordan doesn’t have anything that bad in his resume.
The 1996 Finals and 1997 ECSF were bad, but nobody cares because he won those series.
The only truly bad performance in Jordan’s career may be the 1995 ECSF loss to the Magic, but he had just come out of retirement and went on to complete another threepeat, so nobody holds it against him.
The thing is even when Jordan had shit series shooting he went out there and shot his shot
The biggest problem with 2011 series for LeBron is he wasn’t aggressive, he wasn’t even shooting bad he just succumbed to pressure and stopped being aggressive after they lost that game 2
Look at how his 2015 finals is looked, he shot like ass but people like it when you go balls deep
MJ never had any series that was even remotely as bad as Lebrons 2011 finals. Dude literally scored 11 points in total in the fourth quarters of the series. 11 points over the course of 6 games from the best player in the world. I’m not even a Lebron hater but his 2011 finals performance is the worst from a superstar ever.
Its not even the worst finals performance by a superstar in a series LeBron played in lol. Wade was worse in 2013 and Curry was worse in 2016. Unless your literal only criteria is fourth quarter scoring
I can also give more examples of worse superstar Finals performances if you want
No one is calling curry or wade the goat tho. Its different man. When you talk about goats you gotta split hairs and MJ never did anything like that.
Now you’re moving the goalposts. You said from superstars, now its just about the greatest of all time?
Retiring and ducking Hakeem
Wonder why Hakeem didn’t beat MJ during those two threepeats.
When you write a resume, do you put your biggest failures on there?
Having homecourt advantage for most of his playoff career, kinda makes sense.
doesn’t change how impressive it is
For sure. Did it playing with some trash teams too. The “other Cavaliers” is still one of my favorite bits ever.
Just make it 29-2 this series is already over
28-3. The Rockets are winning in five or six. I pray I’m wrong but I think KD will be back for the next game. I don’t think Luka or Reaves will be coming back.
Luka and Reaves deffo comin back by game 4 or 5. If Lakers win 1 more its a wrap
First team to two wins in the series wins
This also could be a game one of the 2001 NBA finals situation. One victory, and then a gentleman’s sweep.
That’s not what a gentlemen’s sweep is though
Yeah its more like a make-a-wish sweep, let the kids have fun for a bit.
And literally literally means the opposite of literally, now meaning figuratively.
Definitions change even if its because ignorance. Nimrod would be another example where it means the opposite because Bugs Bunny said it sarcastically and the kids didnt pick it up.
Bad bot
This stat would only matter if KD was out for the series. When he comes back, the rockets are a different team and will infinitely diminish the lakers chances of taking the series
KD is that you?
Naw, he wasn’t Shitting on teammates.
It’s more incredible to me that he’s played in 30 series where his team won the 1st game
Bro steamrolled the east for almost a decade, a lot of those came with game 1 wins.
Not bad, but he did lose 2 lol
Rooting for the Lakers just to see the rockets collapse
That’s a crazy stat!
Nice jynx
Make the Rockets play like that when KD returns and they might actually win this series. The problem is it’s fucking KD.
Kd was right about sengun. Rockets offense looks completely dysfunctional without kd
That is really interesting Just another wild LeBron longevity stat that most players won’t come close to.
KD is hurt and I’ve been certain Luka and/or AR will come back if the series goes to atleast five games.
So yeah, he’s absolutely winning another series. Especially if KD isn’t 100%.
How can you be certain of that? Latest news is that there’s zero expectation of either Luka or Reaves being available for any of the first round. They’re both a ways off according to any public reports.
Sorry that he lost to book, maybe ayton can help him win something this year
So funny cuz you know KD is on the internet and will read this and it will go to his weak head and Rockets will fold.
So 28-3
So they play okc if they win? Sounds terrible
the alternative is losing and going home
Doesn’t sound that bad if you don’t have two of your best players
Your definitely a jordan guy who thinks its better to loose in the first round than loose in the finals. How is loosing in the first round better than the second round.
Sounds like Lakers in 4 to me. Maybe 5.
He’s about to be 28-3. I love the Lakers but no way do they win this series without Luka or AR.
It depends on if Durant comes back healthy
Rockets without Durant are legit even worse than the Lakers without their guards and will lose this series but obviously if he’s able to play that changes the picture significantly
Imagine if it was Gabe Vincent instead of kennard. I don’t expect kennard to keep this up either, probably goes to 6-7 games even without durant
Luka could be back by game 5 or 6 potentially
Might be too risky imo. Tony Allen said (on KG’s podcast) that he had the same injury in 2015 and it took him at least 7 weeks to recover. Then 3-4 more weeks to really play properly
Depends on how serious KD’s injury is
Even if KD returns and the Rockets win the next 3 games, Luka could still return for game 5 and it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Rockets blow a 3-1 lead.
For me it depends how long KD is out. Rockets looked pretty bad without him.
It also didn’t feel like Lebron had to work hard to get this result. He only took over a possession near the end of the game, when he was trying to ice the game.
He’s great, but he clearly gets tired compared to a few years ago. It legit felt like he was coasting at times
I’m saving this. I’ll probably forget to come back and call you out but it’s the thought that counts.
I mean dude… we lost the rebound battle and gave up 21 offensive rebounds, we had more turnovers than the Rockets, we fouled more than the Rockets, we missed more free throws then the Rockets, Eason off the bench for the Rockets had more points and rebounds then our entire bench combined, we don’t know when or if AR or Luka are coming back, and we have 8 guys in our rotation.
I don’t think you’re going to be coming back to this comment.
Even if you’re wrong I’m still probably not coming back, 🤣.
Still mad LeBron costed DWade his 2nd finals MVP
Anyways, that’s my GOAT
costed
ಠ_ಠ
Look at this guy who’s never had a typo or fell victim to autocorrect or fat fingers.
yeah but that person edited their comment and the typo is still there
Couldn’t really care about some random person’s spelling or grammar. English could be their 5th language for all I know. Do we all know what they meant? Yes. That’s what’s important.
That makes sense. But it’s a different reason than the one I replied to earlier.
Pedanticism as it relates to spelling and grammar is just a general pet peeve of mine. Half the time my comments contain grammatical or spelling errors it has nothing to do with me not knowing how to spell the word correctly or the proper syntax. It’s just basic oversight, rushing, autocorrect, swyping.
Anyone who corrects me doesn’t actually help me improve. It’s just derailing the conversation instead of focusing on the topic. And I’m sure this applies to a lot of other people making spelling and grammar mistakes online.
The whole thing about communication is whether or not you got your idea across clearly and it’s understood by the recipients. Not whether you spelled your or you’re.
Most people correcting strangers aren’t actually trying to be helpful, and I’ll stand by that. They are just trying to show up strangers for the most part, to feel better about themselves and superior over others, not caring how they’re affecting that person’s confidence in communicating and whether or not that person has some other disability or drawback.
He will lose this series. If kd comes back even at 50%.
They should consider themselves happy they arent getting swept. Team is simply not going to survive without luka and reaves
Have we been watching the same rockets team this season?
Lakers dont have the fire power sadly. I hope lebron wins too but with kd in gravity changes completely and lakers dont have enough offense to survive
Yeah lakers are short handed with little to no depth. That being said this rockets teams half court offense is disastrous even with KD. Which is mind boggling.
