New record for James Harden
He might have gone through many teams but he’s made an impact in the post season for sure. James Harden has now passed Larry Bird to become 13th on the highest post season scoring list!

The yearly Harden is changing the narrative in the first round, only to flame out later
He’s just old. You can’t expect him to show out like this every game. Any given night though the man can still ball.
Every night except if it’s an elimination game.
I mean he was straight up awesome in game 6 last year.
This comment is downvoted now but the same comment will be at the top when Harden routinely disappears in elimination game again.
Bill Simmons 9⁄11
James harden only lost 1 series in Houston that he was the favorite in, dude just over performs then chokes so it looks worse than if he never was close in the beginning
To this day I still hold the belief they would’ve won it all if CP3 didn’t get injured
That’s not really how that works. He’s never made it over the hump, competition adjusted or not
His best 4 years overlapped directly with the warriors prime lol
Same team LeBron beat with Matt Delavedova?
Lebron is arguably the best player in the history of the sport. No shame if you can’t quite reach his level.
Are you saying James Harden ain’t shit? Cause that’s what he is. I know it takes some time for ya’ll to catch on
Lebron only beat him the year after when delladova was out of the equation.
Oh that changes everything, let me find some other journeyman to insert
Never had an injury free run in during his prime, constantly overperforming in regular season
The excuses people are making for this dude are hilarious lol. I’ve watched this guy play since he was on the Thunder. He doesn’t show up in the most important times, which don’t occur during the regular season
So, can I ask just one question ?
When did Harden had* a championship team and he failed ?
Run that through a grammar checker my man I can’t understand what you’re saying
Nobody:
Simmons: I have to mention it…..Did you know Presti cheaped out on Harden for a couple million. Imagine a team with Durant, Harden and Westbrook in their primes
Over under 40% from the field in an elimination game vs the pistons
I believe the don can carry
lol no one realizes this. We also have a top 8 all time playoff scorer by PPG in Spida
They were the 1 seed last year and got embarrassed
Injured** go back and look at context there
r/nba is infamous for acting like injuries don’t exist when they wanna slander stars. Bam and Jimmy not winning with depleted heat teams(Herro was not even able to play at all second finals, Jimmy got hurt vs celtics) still gets slander and they were massive underdogs both times.
So injured he played 37 mins in game 5 losing 4-1 to the 4 seed pacers, everyone is shaking in their boots
Our whole team got injured. Garland is literally still injured from that series lol. But I get it, some people just watch the game to watch and casually understand it. Mitchell also hurt his hamstring
Oh you’re going with the “I don’t know ball” insult now lol some teams are real some aren’t, 2025 Cavs weren’t, excuses or not. Only time that team will ever win anything is when LeBron graced that shithole city’s presence. Come back to my comment in 50 years, the Cavs will have the same number of ships
Evan Mobley, Deandre Hunter, Darius garland, Donovan Mitchell all missed time and at least one required surgery after that series and is still hurting today. Keep going.
Those dudes ain’t winning you a ship healthy, ain’t nowhere else to go
And we got rid of the garbage holding us back - Garland
Lmao you guys ain’t winning shit regardless, in a few weeks you’ll be calling to trade everyone
Respect to Harden, but that’s not what new record means lol
i have said this before but people go overboard on Harden’s playoffs record. there’s no question that Playoff Harden is unreliable, and it really stands out because of how consistent he is in the regular season, but “unreliable” isn’t the same thing as “bad”
I’ll be defending harden the next 50 years. Also how is half a lebron good for 11th on this list. That’s crazy
Feels like misleading wording to call #13 a record. Certainly a notable achievement.
He had some great playoff games for us in Houston that got overlooked. The closeout games we lost just looked really bad. People overlooked how much he kept getting beat up those series after Golden State. Dray did everything he could to try to mess with his game. That one series against the warriors he had an injured wrist the warriors were targeting admittingly and still played pretty well even though we lost. Then fans cried when it happened to Steph. Another series Draymond kept poking him in the eye with those nasty fingers. Warriors fans were saying he was faking till they saw the bloody eye next game.
All the success Houston had during those years was almost all on him. He deserved better but Chris Paul getting hurt was so painful.
Helps when u never miss the playoffs
Lmao, I love the trope of NBA fans using an amazing feat as a reason to hate on a player. “Lebron has a 4-6 record in The Finals” type statement
Maybe other players should try that then
Harden is 23rd in games played btw lol
