[Highlight] “I’m in a battle with Father Time and I’m kind of taking it personal.” LeBron James gets set for his 19th appearance in the NBA Playoffs after his record-setting 23rd season.
The four years LeBron missed the playoffs:
2004, 2005 - his first two seasons in the NBA, and the Cavaliers hadn’t quite put a decent supporting cast yet. (They never really got to a “good” supporting cast in his first Cleveland stint barring maybe 2009⁄2010, but still.)
2019 - first year with the Lakers, Bron missed time to injury, thin supporting cast due to the Lakers being years into a rebuild.
2022 - Bron missed 26 games. AD over half the season. The supporting cast either underperformed (Westbrook) or were way too over the hill (Dwight, Rondo, Melo). A rookie Austin Reaves was arguably the brightest spot of the season, and they still somehow gave Talen Horton-Tucker more run than he.
2022 is the only one people consider a bad miss. Still, that team was terrible and 14 players from that team never played in the NBA again after that season.
14? Holy shit
Adding Mo Williams was a big part of why the 2009-2010 teams were so good.
Ben Wallace, even as a shell of himself, was also a good contributor on defense.
jesus lebrons old
He really was, he always stepped up.
In 2004 they were one game out of the 8th seed
In 2005 they were tied for 8th but the nets had the tiebreaker over them so they barely missed both times
Thank you for giving context reddit has been after Steph the last 12 hours or so, this is exactly the point that context matters. in 2009-2012, steph was drafted on a rebuilding warriors team and had injury troubles. in 2021, steph was awesome the supporting cast was not good, and in the nine games steph missed, the warriors were 2-7 and finished 3 games back from the 5 seed. Steph was leading the league in scoring efficiently. 2019-2020 that one steph didn’t even play most of the season only 5 games. 2023-2024 the warriors were simply bad. 2025-2026 steph missed half the season, jimmy tore his acl in january, moody tore his patella, horford missed over 35 games, and this team wasn’t good. People try to not give context when discussing players they don’t like because it doesn’t fit their agenda. What you said about Lebron is 100 percent factual I just wanted people to understand that.
Slandering 38-year-old Steph, who by all rights should be three years into an amateur golf career by this point, is next level
It’s ridiculous it’s like they just want me to bring up the times lebron has been swept in his prime(and past admitly). The level of hate for him is because people are jealous of his success
people are criticizing the golden boy for five minutes? you’ll live
The REAL last dance coming 2027
2037 you mean
LeLongevity va Father Time: Part 23
If he can win even one series of this playoffs, it will be epic
hard as hell quote ngl
LeFatherTime
Fuck it we ball
Father Time is undefeated.
IDK If Lebron knows this though.
I usually wait for injury news to settle, then compare open to current number before deciding if there is still value.
Let it go little guy. 2nd all time is a pretty good career

Bron has been to more finals than the entire Spurs franchise 😂
Yes
Bron has never had to tank to get good players btw
